it feels like ages ago since i posted in this topic. everytime i checked all of ur latest reads, i feel the itch to write mine. and then i will hold myself back. alas, im here! hihi its not that i didnt read anything this month, but it was actually because i read all of it. 5 books to be exact. i marathoned this books of cassandra clare, which we all know, is about to be shown on the big screen in few days. im so aware that this kind of stories were all over the reading world. vampire here, werewolves there. witches here, magic here and there. but who am i to ignore jace and clary?! :) i like the way it was written, action-packed, very descriptive and a bit of funny on the side. sometimes, i caught myself nodding my head or rolling my eyes, or even laughing out loud, to really mean that im really imagining the scene. the fact that i visited somehow, some of the places that the characters went to like new york and venice, i can really formulate the stories in my head. i know, the mortal instruments series is so predictable in terms of twists and characters and plots, but i really liked it. plus, oh i told you so many times that im a sucker for love stories like this, never meant but they always find a way to go around that. well, im a love-junkie!

Aleph by Paulo Coelho
Do you believe in a past life? If such a life exist, how does it affect the here and now?
This is an interesting story about a man's quest for redemption.

The last book I read was Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. This was perhaps required reading in some schools but alas, it wasn't for mine. I can see why it would be made mandatory, as it makes you appreciate books more. The novel deals with a world that has regressed to the fulfillment of base desires and has come to see books as sources of dissent. This said, the state has "firemen" in their employ, men who actually start fires in houses that are found to contain books. In a world where ignorance is in vogue and the intellectual is looked down upon, one fireman meets a little girl that opens not just his eyes, but his mind.

The dystopian world painted by Bradbury is vivid but not over-exaggerated. I appreciate his style of writing which is slightly brief but on-the-spot. It is true, after all, that good authors can convey scenes with a few well-placed words. I would fully recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. Recommended and lent to me by a friend. It was surprisingly not bad.. good, but not great. I enjoyed reading it, but there was a voice in my head telling me I was reading something quite weird. Haha, I think it was mostly because of the narration: first-person that reads like a teenager.. a really young, love-struck teenager. My friend has lent me all the installments so I feel obliged to read all of it na, pero it's okay because, like I said, I'm still quite enjoying it, and it's a considerably quick read.

Release Me by J. Kenner...fans of Fifty Shades series and Crossfire Series will also like this. This is a somewhat balance combination of those two series. Following the formula of what made the other very popular erotic contemporary a hit. It did not engage me that much with the characters i feel it lack a bit of drama..the kind of drama that i love to hate. But i will finish out this series to satisfy my curiosity.

this is a first for me from neil gaiman. there must be a deeper meaning behind those un-imaginable stories that he wrote. it kept me thinking and reflecting after finishing the book.
