Let's do this one at a time, eh? I'm on a post-writing binge.

1.When someone asks you what your favorite book is and expects you to pick just one.
I get to live in different worlds with different characters in different situations, how could I pick one?

2. When someone interrupts your reading. Because, really, a book is basically a Do Not Disturb sign.
Hear that, grandma? Hear that?

3. When the movie version of a book gets everything wrong. & 4. And completely ruins your mental images of characters.
Ah, very relevant nowadays that books are getting turned into movies or TV series left and right.

5. When someone you like tells you they don’t like to read.
I'll look at them weird and just shrug. To each his/her own.

6. When you forget to eat or sleep because a book is so good.
Not really. I would never forget to eat but I would forgo sleeping to finish a book.

7. When your favorite character dies. And you pretend they’re still alive but it’s just not the same.
WWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY?????? You evil author! Sirius! Fred! Kartik! Jesse!

8. When a book you love gets a harsh review.
I tend to avoid, as much as possible, reading reviews until I read the book since I don't want to be influenced. I would, after. Negative reviews are okay as long as they don't bash.

9. When an author stops writing mid-series.
Haven't encountered this. However, does this count the fact where the last book, although promised would be published, is taking forever to be published (i.e. Strange Fate by LJ Smith and last of the Obernewtyn series by Isobelle Carmody)?

10. When someone spoils the ending of a book. Or worse, the ending of an entire series.
*not impressed*

11. When you walk into a bookstore.
...I'll just browse, guys. *walks out with ten books*

12. When you lend someone a book and get it back in terrible condition. & 13. Or never get it back at all.
Feel my WRATH!!!

14. When you finish a book and have to wait a year for the sequel.
This is my problem with series books since I have to refresh my memory with the first book.

15. When a book makes you cry hysterically in public and everyone thinks you’re crazy.
Cry in public? Not yet. I don't really read in public or go out much at all.

16. When no one gets your obscure literary reference.
Anyone who didn't read the book: *looks at you like WHUT?*

17. When someone says you read too much. Because you know there’s no such thing as too many books.
Thank you.

Hahaha I really like your post here. I could forgive #1 and #2 because I'm fine with a few interruptions and could say that so far my the best fiction book is The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo.

But I could never forgive #3 and #17. Especially #3 (how the movie fucked up the ending of my best fiction book). Grrrrrr!!!!
