Hmm, eto na yung umpisa ng "pag-dadalaga". Ang naalala ko lang dati, it's not a big deal for me. I mean, natural naman yun.

Essay 1 : Discussion
How young are you then? hehe..i remember, when we were in high school, that's not the same reaction i've seen on my classmates, as if the one who just had menstruation is that different, and makes her an outcast or laman ng mga tsismisan..i don't know why they reacted like that...and also, when somebody is "natagusan" she'll be the most popular student for a month..i don't know...they make it like a taboo..

How bout coca cola??? did they prohibit you also to drink?? and how bout taking a bath on the first day?? they say, it can make you insane..

yap, when i think about it, its the sweetest thing i've done on courting ...but unfortunately, she didn't saw it like that...and now, i don't even give even flowers hehe...once i've tried giving flowers, and once i've given a love letter but ended up wasting time..

Hmmm...i wonder how Bebs will handle the attention of her new found admirer? There will be curiosity for sure but i think a lot of young girls back then are typically shy and pa crush2x lang and then passing of love notes or in your case Engr. a Dear Heaven~ yours HEL...char! ahahaha!

Essay discussion #1
How young was I? i think around the same age as Ms. Bebang like 12! Mama thought me how to use the sanitary napkin properly. And now that you mentioned it Heldie that she also did advise me not to take a bath! ugh! it was summer time so I wasn't so worried about going to school feeling stinky for one day. I'm not sure about the coca cola prohibition. I don't remember being imposed to me at that time of my life he3x.

Unlike you Malot i was not that prepared when I got my sign when I officially entered into the mens world. I remembered feeling so worried at first that I holed up myself sa bathroom for a good hour before calling my mama that something is wrong with me. Mama just took one look at my panty and promptly said "you are just menstruating na". and then next thing i know she rush me into this whirlwind ritual into womanhood.
I did get to witnessed the same thing happening to my younger sister when she had her turn. And she had this enormous WTH? expression on her face but she still found herself following mama's instructions and I was at the side failing to keep myself from laughing at her awkwardness. We were not each others fave person at that time *sigh*

Ako, i was in Grade 5, so 11.

Pag shampoo, remain still. Pag tumawa ka or kaya gagalaw, ikaw na magiging it.
Looking back, parang ang bibo nga childhood natin compared sa mga bata now kasi puro computer and laro. We had this conversation with my officemates last Monday about the games we used to play. We were all laughing. We had siatong, chinese garter (na isa sa paboritong kong laro), piko, sud-sud (basta yan ang term sa lugar namin), taguan (piyonganay in our dialect), lupa-langit, ps ps i love you (mahal mo ba si Gabby, yes or no...hahahaha), marble, sungka, teks, all those rubber band games, tayukok... Gosh! And dami pa.

Looking forward to the Bebang's puppy love. Oh how I remember my childhood crush.

Heldie!

So, here are my answers to Heldie's discussion:

First time! hehehe.

Laila, like you palagai ako may cramps, 100% of the time!

3. Ano ang shake shake shampoo na laro?
Sorry, never heard! Here are the childhood games I played: jackstone, mipao, sungka (favorite), baraha, chinese garter, but no shake shake!

Bilang Fiipino-Chinese, yes guys i am Fil-Chi, relate ako sa mga ibang kinukuwento ni Bebang, pero only if it will not make Pinoys look at at the Fil Chi differently. I want to ask you guys if the book made the Fil-Chi look bad to you? As a Fil-Chi i try my best to be a good citizen by being compassionate to others, kasi gusto ko isipin ng mga Pinoy na mabubuting tao ang mga fil-chinese, and to gain their respect, and not anything else. You get what I mean? It's kind of sensitive for me to be actually be talking about it here but that is really my deepest wish :)

Anyway, now to continue reading! I'm about 50% na...

I also wish for Ms Bebang Siy to sign my copy! Does she entertain those who want to have their books signed?

hehe elegante ba? para ngang ansama basahin nung tinype ko and i revised it 2x maybe hehe..

I'm also a FilChi (my middle name is CO, o wait, my grandpa is the only one who's chinese, wil that make me a FilChi...or FeelChi only..Feeling Chinese??)...for i grew up in ilocos and never met my grandpa, i don't know cultures of being a chinese. But i have many friends who are FilChi, and we get along very well. I never had a fight/misunderstanding with any of them, except for the Miami Heat die hard, who always criticize my Kobe..hehe peace bro.
That's why i don't see them as different. What important really is that you have respect with each other.

Next discussion should be on her second essay but i think we're running out of time for this month..aist..if we'll not finish it this month then let's contiunue until we're done no watter what month it will be. Or until Bebang Siy will sign our copies heheh

Hello!

How do I feel about FilChi marriage and traditions? Well, I respect it with a complete understanding that it is how you want to keep your pagka-Chinese. No matter how absurd it looks like from outsiders (kami yun) hehehe. Pero come to think of it, walang purong lahi. :D

Yes, combined essays discussion na tayo which reminds me, I have to supply na naman sa aking customer hahaah!

About the author, here's her FB link. https://www.facebook.com/bebangsiy?fref=ts
I think mag accommodate sya ng copies to sign, she's really friendly and bubbly.

It's Raining Mens ang sequel book nya.

I cannot really relate to being a fil-chi or even feel-chi as Heldie here. No chinese relations in my family as far as I know. But I do have fil-chi friends and i have observed that they have certain practices and family traditions and I have come to understand some of it and respect it.

@Malot..thanks for the link I would love to hear from Ms. Bebang :) and sige i'm waiting for my next supply :)
Also I'm on the fence whether to buy my copy here in Ceb if ever I get Ms. Bebang to sign it and then I have to send it to her pa or order it from there. Hmmm. i guess i have to ask her about it.
