if you are a Charles Bukowski fan give me a holler.... i think he's insanely brilliant. I have 2 copies of his poem collections and would love to have a collection of all of his works... actually if he was still alive and if ever i win the lottery i'll hop on a plane and have a chat with him *sigh*

haha great dream you have there @hera05 :D

I read some of his poems. some of them are sad aren't they? I remember this poem, a smile to remember, and it was just really sad. It was about this mom and son, and the mom tried to tell his son to smile despite everything wrong going on and in the end, his mom still smiled when the dad fed the dead fishes to the cats... I mean it's good to be optimistic even during bad times but to just smile without action is just not right. Such a sad smile, just through those words, you can feel the persona. it's worse than saying your just sad...

wow :O this charles bukowski is really deep

I've just seen the movies Bukowski: Born Into This, Factotum and Barfly. Now I'm in the market for any books of his. If anyone can point me to a seller, that would be terrific
