David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest". A little caveat: "Infinite Jest" is over a thousand pages long, so much so that a colleague quipped that it's almost as thick as the average Webster's dictionary one could find in a well-to-do home back in those days when the Internet was a luxury only few could afford. There is also a section solely dedicated to footnotes, so more than one bookmark is required to read it.

Inheritance by Christopher Paolini

Am almost a third of the book and I find myself just skimming through most of the fight scenes. I just want to be done with this and know the ending.

I don't know if this series have past my interest or maybe am just too excited to get my hands on other recently released books.

I think this would be better on the big screen as there are more battle scenes.

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard who, in my opinion, is the best creative non-fictionist out there. oh wait, there's also David Sedaris.
