still 12% into it...there are times that i wish i could just get into a car and leave everything behind and start somewhere new...but with the case of Rabbit A. i didn't have an inkling immediately that as he was walking his way to get the car at his mother's house and perhaps fetch his son there that he was just going to do exactly that, that when he get in the car he wanted to drive south and escape the flowerpot city...i guess he got fed up with his mundane unfulfilling life...he can't recapture his glory days..why his life suddenly took a different turn then?

word : "Fraud makes the world go round."

Rabbit, Run by John Updike...i'm 29% into the book this is a very slow read for me coz the MC did not grab my attention for long. So Rabbit A. is still confuse and end up back to his hometown and hanging out w/ his old coach...then having a fling with a lady of the night now he is having a nightmare. serves him right. i notice that the author does have great writing skills the way he describes things is just....

"the slash of sun on the wall above him slowly knifes down, cuts across his chest, becomes a coin on the floor, and vanishes"
"the waiter goes away like a bridesmaid with his bouquet of unwanted silver."

made me pay more attention to details...
