Season's Greetings to my fellow RPers :D

At some point I know that most of you have read the following popular books such as :
#1 Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (7 books series)
#2 The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins (trilogy)
#3 Divergent series by Veronica Roth (trilogy)
#4 Percy Jackson and The Olympians series by Rick Riordan (5 books series)

+++ special feature book : The Fault In Ours Stars by John Green

The above titles have been adapted to movies as well. So for this month's challenge kindly follow carefully the following guidelines:

** Pick one book out of each series titles that I have mentioned above that you have read and is your favorite or will read this month and take a photo of yourself holding a hard copy of that title. If you have no hard copy you can head to your fave bookstore or borrow from a friend and take a photo with it.
** You then post that photo and write down the corresponding title and author and from what series and then make a review of why that book is your favorite book out of that series or the one that you have finished reading from each series.
** You must be able to post four (4) photos with titles and reviews from all of the series mentioned above. The first reader who is be able to successfully comply with the challenge will win a special prize.
** If you are able to take a photo and post a review for the special feature book then an extra prize will be given away for this as well on top of the four (4) book titles.
** You must post each reviews separately. And strictly no using of other people's photo of the book...YOU MUST TAKE AN ACTUAL PHOTO.
** This challenge will officially start from December 10, 2013 until December 31, 2013. So that means only reviews that are being posted within these dates will be considered valid entry.
** The winner will be notified via PM here in RP after the challenge has been officially closed and must reply to my PM within 48 hours, otherwise the next second chance winner will be chosen and not necessarily the one who have complied all 4 titles but managed at least 2 or 3 posts.
** For Philippine Residents Only!

Here is the prize that awaits you! A special fandom T-shirt :) you may only choose one (1) shirt from the following designs :

For the special feature prize, this is the shirt I will be giving away. Again the shirt color is white and size may vary but the design is pretty much this one :

You do not need to finish the entire series actually, as stated what you are going to read and able to finish in each series you can post your review.
but if you have read the entire series already then you choose one book that is your fave out from that series and post a review about it.

CATCHING FIRE from the Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins

Sparks have ignited!

I love Catching Fire because the suspense and entertainment built more in this book. Hunger Games was the introduction but Catching Fire was the perfect beginning for an epic finale.

I also love the book for the following reasons:

The additional characters made also the book more interesting, I love the charming Finnick Odair! :D I have always been Team Peeta! There were more Peeta and Katniss moments in this book, but I can’t help to feel sad that all the acts were true in Peeta’s end but all fake on Katniss’ YET. :D

The book is intense. I could compare the events and emotions of the book to a human turned to a vampire – everything was HEIGHTENED, brought to a higher level – the compassion, the threat, the danger, the love, the cruelty of the Capitol.

It has the elements of what I look in a book – interesting characters, fascinating plot, remarkably written but what makes it so addicting? I still can’t figure it out. Hahaha
Even the movie was as incredible as well that I even watched it twice. :D
And it uses a language that was so easy to understand yet it was able to convey their deep meaning. It has action, horror, despair, hope, love, friendship.

And for me, the second book will define if you can keep your readers reading up to the last book (for Trilogy series). For me, it is already given na kasi that after the first book you will read the second book because of few things you need clarifications about. And if everything was already black and white, you may lose the drive to read further (from experience :D ). But with Catching Fire, that’s not the case. Collins made me even more hunger for the finale.

And Catching Fire was able to catch me, hook me until I read the very last page of the series.

ALLEGIANT from the Divergent Series by Veronica Roth

If Veronica Roth is to live inside the Chicago experiment, she will definitely be a Dauntless Faction member! She was so brave to finish a well followed and well loved series in a BANG! Many wanted and expected for the series to end happily so when Tris died – the negative, angry shout outs were not a surprise anymore.

Well, I love the book because of the following reasons:

I like how the book was narrate in both Tris and Four’s POV alternately.
I am a fan of their love team and having the story told from these very different persons, personality-wise, was fun.

I love how the book was able to answer all the questions from the cliffhanger Insurgent – what was outside the fence? Who is Edith Prior? Where did Divergents come from?
They were all answered in Allegiant.

Then there was the ending, I somehow expected that someone will die (base from the WHY???!!! Comments of my friends in RP :D ). So when I finally get to the end of the book I said WHHHHAAAATTTT Tris died?! Hahaha . so okay, that still come as a shock and I was left sad for Four because wala na syang soulmate, he’ll be left alone.
And Four almost drunk a memory serum! Goodness naman, if I was Tris, I’d be offended. Does he really want to forget everything about Tris?! Glad there was Christina to stop him. ;)

At the end of the day, I realized that not everything gets a HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
That’s reality, after all.

Overall, I still love the series and I’m looking forward so so much for the movie in March 2014.
