Bago ko po sagutin ang tanong ninyo, here's my report that I will try and write AGAIN because my tablet decided to be mean and delete what I've done.
I was the third to arrive. (Bad event organizer, bad! ) I easily found my way to miss Wanda and summer a.k.a. miss Aimee and April respectively. Even though we didn't really have any signs up, everyone managed to find us without too much trouble.
After situating ourselves on the cafe's patio, I suppose you can call it, we lobbed questions at each other and learned how Read Philippines came to be, what Bagamundo meant and just who rainbow_unicorn was. Biggest surprise of the afternoon, I'd say. Bati tayo, Eunice.
Miss Wanda then whipped out her iPad and we played pinoy henyo RP style. After a few awkward and failed turns, we got the hang of it and then there was nothing but hilarity. Resounding nos and yeses were heard. May mga naligaw din na, "no pero pwede" na sagot. Because team Wanda, RavensClarity, janissary09, rainbow_unicorn left Bagamundo, summer, Super_Mark and myself biting the dust, their team got to pick first from the book swap pile.
It didn't end there though, miss Wanda surprised everyone with an RP bookmark and booklight. Undeniably useful and appropriate gifts for everyone that came. Thanks, miss Wanda~
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
Because the wearabookshirt thing didn't pan out well, (Si miss Wanda lang ang naka book shirt) the prize meant for the best shirt was awarded to summer, the early bird, instead. well deserved, in my opinion. Even I got an awesome somethingsomething for organizing the event. Thank you, miss Wanda.
Another surprise of the afternoon was miss LAILA who managed to find us all the way from Cebu. We got her on the phone and on skype. I hope you weren't too disappointed with our faces, miss Laila.
Mark, Per, Tristan and myself decided to head on to megamall to drop by National Book Store to check on Naermyth. It's Php 250 po pala.
Miss Wanda eto na po sagot sa tanong nyo.
We then found ourselves in Max's Restaurant. Nilibre po kami ni sir Bagamundo ng dinner. Kung titignan niyo pong mabuti yung "after" na group shot, halata po na di na kami makagalaw sa busog.
It was a fun day. When I asked everyone if the meet-up was something they wanted to do again, the "yes" was unanimous. So I guess I'll be seeing everyone in a month's time ba? haha Sound off naman on the frequency!
To those who didn't make it, punta na po kayo sa next event ha? We'll be expecting you.
To those who just heard of the meet-up and are interested, punta rin po kayo. We'll welcome you. But you might want to prepare yourselves. jkjk.
Lastly, let me just say it was a pleasure to meet every single one of you. Miss Wanda thank you for making the meet-up even more special with the gifts. I, for one, appreciate them.
Photos are HERE, if you haven't seen them yet.
