Hardbacks vs Paperbacks

I realize that hardbacks are heavier and harder to fit into my bag but I still prefer them. They are just so lovely to hold. The font size are also relatively bigger and the spacing tends to be more generous. I also don't have to worry about spine creases. How about you which do you prefer? :)

If I have the money and the space, I would've collected hardbacks. But I also have other hobbies to spend my money on so unless I get a bigger place and have more money, I'm sticking with paperbacks :)

Hi! You are right. Lack of funds is a major consideration for me too. I generally obtain hardbacks from bargain bookstores or whenever regular bookstores have sales. But as to the space, I tend to be more forgiving. I don't care if my room would be overrun by hardbacks. Some of it are already stacked on the floor due to lack of shelf space. :P

Hi Wanda! Whenever I visit bargain bookstore, I make a beeline to the shelves where the hardbacks are. For regular bookstores, I wait for a sale as well. Sans the money constraint, I'd still go for hardbacks. :P

I choose paperbacks for economic reason. Mas madami ka pang madadala in one bag compared to hardbacks. But if its a collector's item, I would prefer hardback if it's possible. Sometimes, there's a sentimental value with a used, torn paperback compared to a brand new, hardbound book.
