Hi everyone! 100% newbie to books here

Hi everyone it's good to be a part of this Philippine reading community I want to start by saying that unlike many of you in here, I am not the typical book worm. Reading books is just a little part of my never-ending hobbies.
Reading has always been a frustration of mine. Whenever I start to read books, I can never seem to finish some of them as I always have a hard time rendering written words and translating them into moving pictures or for the least realistic substances in my brain. It was just recently that my love for graphic novels came. For someone like me who has a comprehension skill of a peanut, I fell in love with graphic novels. And the rest, I have to say, is history
So I am a budding graphic novel novel reader and I hope to build a humble collection of graphic novels, with a few occasional other book purchases here and there. I must admit that I fancy non-superhero plots more. Whenever I write book reviews, I never really write from the perspective of reading between the lines (not of course when it is mandatory). I am more of the story type of person and a little less on the technical literary aspects
So that would probably be it for now. I hope I can broaden my book knowledge thru this community
