Hi everyone!
For some time, I have been wondering if there was such a local forum about, well, books. Before, I only rely on certain literature threads in some tech forum to get ideas on what to buy next. Stumbling upon this place was really a blessing.
As for me, I'm 28 and an engineer by trade. Guess there aren't a lot of book-loving engineers out there (it's what I noticed in our office). I actually only read occasionally as well (have to give time to my pet, PS3 and some other hobbies).
But lately I had this dream of owning maybe 500 books when I'm 40! I'm already a quarter-way there already. I have so far only read about 10% of my collection but that doesn't stop me from purchasing new books. I just keep telling myself that when I'm old and disinterested in the other stuff that keeps me preoccupied today, I'll have this books to keep me entertained.
Nice to meet you all!
