We are making this post after a long time to share some great news! We have just been invited by the National Book Development Board along with several other book clubs to join them for a Kapihan session. The objective is to introduce ourselves and discuss ideas on how to promote reading in the Philippines! The session will be held next week, Friday, March 21 from 5pm to 7pm, at the National Book Development Board Office in Quezon City.
While this is a bit of a short notice, we think it's a great opportunity for us to just let it pass! This will be our chance to introduce ourselves to the NBDB, who we are, what we do, and what we stand for - promoting reading in the Philippines. We will be delivering a short presentation (10-15 mins) about us and will include (but limited to) the ff points:
- how we started, founding, current membership, etc.
Who we are
What we do

Ideas on how to promote reading in the Philippines
In line with this, we will need all the help / support any of our members can give to make our presentation success. If you have any ideas whatsoever, specially on the last point, please shoot us a quick message so we can include it in the presentation.
Everyone is invited to join us that day, too. We are planning to have an RP shirt made for everyone who will be attending so if you want to join please do reply to this thread or drop us a message that you will be joining, and because we also need to confirm number of seats with the NBDB. Shirt cost will be approx P350 each.
Here's the rough design of the shirt but still in the making:
Let us know! Looking forward to your support / attendance / ideas!
