The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, a YA paranormal debut novel by Michelle Hodkin...I find the mystery surrounding Mara's hallucinations intriguing and maybe its not really her mind playing tricks on her. She really is having a rough time coping with the mysterious death of her 3 friends an accident she have trouble remembering. Noah is dreamy but he has secrets of his own too...hmmm the highschool dramas is a bit cliche but they do work in the premise of the story. I still find it thrilling though.
The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin...the sequel to the book above...Mara reminded me of what's happened to Halle Berry in that movie Gothika, its hard convincing people ur not really crazy or something. the story is gripping and Jude is the loony one And there are other teenage girls and boys like Mara w/ special abilities That are being manipulated to be institutionalized. I refused to believe that Noah is dead or i will be suffering from PSTD myself...lol!
Reached by Ally Condie, the final installment to the Matched Trilogy. The Pilot (Ky), the Poet (Cassia) and The Physic (Xander) has come together to save the people of their dystopian Society from the Plague that is killing them. A moving and poetic ending to this series...it felt sad and poignant and yet a new beginning for a society to re-learn the beauty of their past like hand writing, arts, self expression etc. "You cannot change your journey if you are unwilling to move at all"
Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles #1) by Gena Showalter This YA novel is not a retelling of the classic alice in wonderland except for some references to it in the book that's were the similarity ends...the rest are just some kickass Zombie slaying with a badass female and male protagonist namely alice bell and cole holland and they both need to get together more! Off the field i mean, hehehe! It was a fun read and i will look forward to the sequel next year.

The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting, this YA paranormal book was an enjoyable read, an intriguing enough blend of romance and suspense thriller about Violet a teenage girl who has the ability to sense a dead body who were killed in a traumatic way and she is compelled to seek them out once her "gift" catch hold of their echoes and more importantly can sense the imprint of the killer as well. She cannot rest until the dead body is laid to a proper rest. Although the who dunnit aspect became predictable it was still an enjoyable read for me in general.
Desires of the Dead by Kimberly Derting, sequel to The Body Finder series. I enjoyed this more than the book and it centered more about the character development of Violet and the introduction of new intriguing characters. It doesn't hurt that I get to read more about the relationship of violet and her bestfriend turned boyfriend Jay, this two are just too cute
The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting, third installment of the Body Finder Series. Violet is now actively involved with a group of misfits w/ various psychic ability except for her but she feels she is belongs w/ them at least. But such involvement comes w/ a price of danger and a threat to her life and of her love ones. Though I enjoyed reading this one in general the are some characters in the book that I didn't like and that the romantic aspect bet. Violet and jay took a back seat...boohoo!
Because It Is My Blood by Gabrielle Zevin...book 2 of the Birthright series...Anya Balanchine needs to take up the mantle as one of the heirs of the Balanchine Chocolate Empire, she can totally rocks the mafia princess role, she has the instinct and attitude for it but alas she is reluctant to step into the role it can be very dangerous for her and her family. The ending is frustrating now I have to wait what comes next for Anya.
