Two reasons why i've been wanting to read this.
1. To join the bandwagon
2. Raved by a lot of booklovers

And, oh third reason, there's a movie coming out and i wanna see it.

I ended up giving five stars at Goodreads. My mind fixed to four stars when i was in the middle to nearly three-fourths of the book. But dang! The last part was....gaaaaaahhhh!
I was expecting this to be a heavy read given the circumstance of the two protagonists. The beginning of the book and most part where light, filled with humor and wit and i had LOL moments reading it. But going through the last part of it was bittersweet. OMG, i did cry. I cried because it is painful to lose someone so dear. [And maybe because i was thinking of my lost love (not that he died)].

This is my first John Green and this was beautifully written.

And Gus. Charming. Witty. Smart. Sweet. Who wouldn't fall?

Under The Never Sky (Under The Never Sky #1) by Veronica Rossi

Since I am going to the book signing event of this author I finally started on this series. At the beginning it was a bit slow for me. I keep finding ways I can envisioned this dystopian/utopian world of Aria and Perry and at the same time connect with them. I wasn't sure i will end up loving this book but I DID! like super duper. Aria was a bit hard to really like at first coz of her attitude as a Dweller towards Perry and outsider. But it was understandable. I like that their romance was not insta kind of love...it gradually developed over time as the story progresses. It also focus on their journey towards Perry trying to rescue back his kidnapped nephew by the Dwellers and Aria trying to reached her mother from another Pod whom she lost contact. But due to unfortunate events in the beginning she finds herself banished to the Death Shop and must forge an Alliance with Perry if she is to survive the "real" world now. When Roar was introduced later on sa story it became more interesting and engrossing. 4/5 stars.

Roar and Live (Under The Never Sky #0.5) by Veronica Rossi

Tells the back story of Roar (best friend of Perry) and who is deeply in love with Olivia "Liv" (sister of Perry) I love their dynamic as friends who grew up very close. It was sweet and passionate and now reflecting back on this after knowing now what happened to Liv just made my heart ache bad for Roar. It was just tragic :( still 4/5 stars for this short novella.

Brooke (Under The Never Sky #2.5) by Veronica Rossi
This is also a short novella but this time focuses on Brooke, who is part of Perry's tribe and they used to be a couple. But unfortunately Brooke is more into him than he will ever be to her. Now that Aria is the one, she was quite bitter about being chosen over a Dweller but the good thing is that this highlight on how she is slowly moving on from her feelings for Perry after some significant realizations and she is no longer broken hearted but remains a strong willed, confident woman with fighting skills to boot. Im glad coz I hate to have hate her in the long run if she remains bitter. 4/5 stars.

Through The Ever Night (Under The Never Sky #2) by Veronica Rossi

This was worth being sleepless through the ever night...hehehe! if you know how the first book ended i was excited for the beginning of this one but soon the elated feelings don't last as Perry and Aria's reunion became threatened by Perry's own tribe who are not very welcoming of Aria's presence because of what she is a dweller. What happens afterwards cost them a lot of heart aches people and to me too! But I kept my faith alive to my OTP no matter what! and then tragedy strike later in the story to one of the characters that I just felt horrible for Roar! it also introduces us to the cunning and enigmatic villain the Blood Lord of the Horns. Aria did something very dauntless here to try to save herself and Roar out of a precarious situation. Emotions are running high in this sequel and Perry and Aria's bonds will be truly tested while at the same time each face many personal challenges along the way far apart. 5/5 stars!!!

Into The Still Blue (Under The Never Sky #3) by Veronica Rossi

The final book of this trilogy. I had such high hopes for this book because of how much i love the previous two. It totally delivered. Kahit na many times ako na frustrated because of certain events in this book but they are necessary elements to the story that keeps the tensions to the story high and also the emotional tensions among the main characters were just palpable. The FEELS were there. If you can see my twitter line is has been flooded of my updates of my reading experiences of this book. This book concludes this series beautifully and now i am one of the fans of Ms. Rossi and I can't wait to meet her in person this April 27 :D

THE MAZE RUNNER by James Dashner

ReadPhilippines' book of the month of April. It was fun reading it with buddies. It made the whole reading experience a kind of bit different in a good way. exciting as well. to know somebody is undergoing the same feelings right after you read not the whole book, mind you, but chapter by chapter, kind of appreciate it more. i like the teasing feeling that i give to other readers, esp. @mstessagray, who told me it kinda pushed her to ask for more. :)

and this MAZE RUNNER book makes you do that. it makes you crave for more. Action packed as it is, my heart went to thomas immediately, because we were on the same boat. At the opening of the story, he had no idea what is happening, where is he, and why. He just know one thing, his name. As same as for me, when i was starting the book. I just knew the title and that somehow its kind of dystopian, hunger games like. And the rest, came after each turn of the pages. The ordeals that these kids had to undergo made my imagination went wild. The running, the grievers, gladers, keepers, the heart pumping stunts that they did. Thomas and Minho, especially. Their actions and decisions, stupid most of the times, but very brave and for the good of everybody. Pages and pages of getting to know this new world of them, and guys, that turning of pages wont stop till i came to the end. End? understatement of the year. Because its not even close to that. I get it. I found out so little details to assume that this whole thing going about the maze is a work of some hideous company of a monster who just like to make kids a form of their entertainment. Bad creators, huh. But there's thing about being WICKED IS GOOD. What is that supposed to mean? At the end, nothing is concrete, it made me ask questions more. What a cliffhanger, right? So, that's the purpose of it being a series, or a trilogy for that more. What am i doing now?? oh well, im jumping to the next book, THE SCORCH TRIALS. The first book was literally maze-involved. The second, you think, is going to be fire-based? :)
