The Forever Song (Blood of Eden #3) by Julie Kagawa

ANGST! ANGST! ANGST! EVERYWHERE! it almost overwhelm the story and i was disappointed with Allie and Zeke here. I am not feeling their love. Despite being a hopeless romantic, i sometimes draw the line in sappiness and being ridiculous. Thankfully Jackal provides the voice of reason here in his most sarcastic charming manner. I was mostly frustrated with the main characters. However, the atmosphere of this book stayed true in bleak and grimness it is scary and bloody. Sarren was insane, brilliant but insane and the atrocities he laid waste along the way to Eden was unimaginable it gives me shivers.
So i gave this a decent 3.8 stars / 5. Book1-2 will remain my favorite and this series is still a strong one for me.

THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY

Short and inspiring.
I liked it more when i watched it came alive in the big screen. No matter how big the difference is the book from the movie... there is one reminder that will always surface in both medium....

Cherry Girl (Blackstone Affair #3.5) by Raine Miller

I love it! I didn't quite know what to expect when i started on it coz it has been quite a long time since i've finished reading the Blackstone trilogy and this was spin off from that series and it focus on the enduring love between Neil and his forever cherry girl Elaina. Elaina has the issue here because she keeps running away but after years of separation their paths has crossed again and this time Neil will take not take no for an answer. They have such wonderful chemistry together :)

Beautiful Broken Rules (Broken #1) by Kimberly Lauren

A refreshing twist on a the female protagonist being the "school sl*t" here rather than the male one. I thought i would not like Emmy here but she was actually very likable, she is not bitchy, she is very loyal and supportive to her close friends. She just like to have fun, party and hook up with the male population at her school till she set her eyes on one Jaxon Riley who is like her. But she might just met the one guy who will break down her walls and make her break her own rules when it comes to relationships.
New Adult, College Romance, contains some explicit intimate scenes...chemistry are off the charts!!! hehehe!

Be With Me (Wait For You #2) by J. Lynn

A lot of drama going on here but that's the author's style when it comes to her New Adult romance series. And i still end up loving this one despite some of my frustration towards Jase Winstead who is giving our dear female protagonist Tess a lot of mixed signal. Clearly he has some secret baggage from his past that is hindering him to totally commit to her. This one was pretty long. Jase is very charming and sexy...like you can really feel him oozing with charm through the damn pages. I also like that this story also touches on family, friendship, abusive relationships and how one learn to accept the changes in life despite your firms plans for your future.

Keeper of Dreams: A Dozen of Short Stories and Poems by Matthew Keefer

Short Stories. Poems.
These kinds make you think more. There are hidden meanings, underlying statements. You have to dig deep. Some are merely for entertainment, some makes you hanging, like you wanted to know how a story ended up, some are like confusions all over. Nevertheless, I have my favorites here... the keeper of dreams, the officer of the peace and the tenth tale.

LOVE LETTERS TO THE DEAD by Ava Dellaira

i felt sad all the time reading this. i can line this up with the kind of books that tackles teenagers, highschool dramas but a bit darker... it reminded me of eleanor & park by rainbow rowell and sky is everywhere by jandy nelson. just that this was written in a different format, made it more interesting.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

It's a teen romance novel with all the bitersweet trappings. And it felt real like it can be happening to your neighbor or in your neighborhood.

Trust In Me (Wait For You #1.5) by J. Lynn

This is a contemporary romance and from the POV of Cameron. I was really hoping this will give me the same feels as it did with the first book but sadly it did not live up to my expectations. I find that Avery was rather bland from his pov but he still find her intriguing despite the secrecy and her stubborn attitude to be anti social. It was rather frustrating. I began to question why I like Avery in the first book from her pov. Maybe because I cannot understand Avery without knowing what was really going on her mind. I also appreciate that Cam had the tenacity and patience to be with Avery.
