Say The Word by Julie Johnson
Genre : Adult, contemporary, suspense thriller romance
Rate : 5/5

I end up really loving this one. It is about young love, loss, betrayal, hope, second chances and there is even action and crime investigation involve. I love the MCs. The author really did a great job in executing this story well. I ached in the right arts, i laughed and i even cried it was such a compelling story.

Tempting Bella (Accidental Peers #2) by Diana Quincy
Genre : Historical Romance
Rate : 2.5/5

I was in the mood to go back to my original love the HR. But this one did not leave up to my expectation despite the promising story line. I love the male protagonist but I got annoyed a lot of time with the female character because she was making a lot of assumptions and being self righteous and even a whiny brat and she expects her absentee husband then to respect her sense of maturity? i have read a more endearing character than her in the same genre.

Keep you from Harm (Remdy #1) by Debra Doxer
Genre : YA, romance, paranormal

This was a surprise. Again i thought the premise sounds like the usual drab of a high school drama new girl in school attracts the only most wanted boy in school. But there is the paranormal aspect of Raeille having the ability to heal and she has been trying to hide this ability until and incident forced her to reveal it and to the one boy she shouldn't. I actually end up really liking the writing style of the author. The angst and intrigued were all balanced through out the story. That ending was heart wrenching because really Raeille have it tough in life and now she was forced to sacrifice her happiness again. Over all a very engaging story.

The Ghost Bird series / The Academy series by C.L. Stone
Genre : YA, reverse harem, suspense, thriller, drama, romance
may contain swear words, some drug use, and sexual scenes but not explicit.

THIS IS MY CURRENT ADDICTING SERIES THIS WEEK :) It is totally okay to have 9 book boyfriends in one series YO!!!

Introductions #1
Rate : 4/5
I was not expecting to get this hooked to this series. Basically this is a story of a young abused lonely shy naive girl name Sang Sorensen who's life drastically change when she met the Academy boys in her new neighborhood. There are are like 7 of them and plus two other older Academy boys Dr. Sean Green and Mr. Blackbourne..which was kind of ridiculous because they are described as around 19 only...how did that happen. Anyway i went into this thinking it will be like watching one of those anime with the same premise that i enjoy. And it made my reading experience very enjoyable indeed. This one just tell of how San met each of the boys.

First Days #2
Rate : 4/5
Ah they went to the same public school and the boys are only there for this year due to a secret mission being conducted by the Academy. The school was horrendous can you imagine 2000 students go to this public school, an underfunded school at that so they have like trailers for classes to accommodate that amount of students. I simply cannot imagine. Anyways Sang attracted a lot of unwanted attraction and the boys are trying their best to protect her. She is such a push over really because her mom was abusing her at home with harsh punishments.

Friends vs Family #3
Rate : 5/5
As the punishment of Sang's mom escalate to the point that the Academy boys are desperately trying to find ways to rescue her from her neglectful family. Also on the other hand the boys are slowly finding themselves falling for Sang. A family secret was revealed that explains why Sang's mom was always harsh with her. The plot thickens when further investigation by the Academy boys led them to learning the ghost past of Sand who has no idea that her past doesn't exist. Totally absorbing series.

Forgiveness and Permission #4
Rate: 4.5/5
Love her or lose her! OMG! can they actually do the impossible to adopt a bird into their all dog family? only one other team has successfully done so but that was a three dog and 1 bird team. This is like a 9 dog and 1 bird team. Can they all learn to love and share her otherwise they stand to lose her in the end and possibly tear their family apart.

Drop of Doubt #5
Rate : 4/5
The academy boys are doing everything they can to make Sang happy even have their toe nails painted. And a dangerous stalker is targeting Sang that made them even more overbearing and over protective of Sand, while all she wants is to be trusted that she is capable of making her own decisions and be just as dependable as they are.

Push and Shove #6
Rate: 4/5
The latest installment of this series and the sexual tension is mounting and Sang is starting to feel the full force of the more than friends attraction of the academy boys but left her confused at the same time when none of them dares to kiss her on the lips. There was a secret agreement going on with the boys and she hopes to unravel them herself. She finally got her first kiss though and from the unlikely person but then it made since coz he was a such a charming flirt and not so intimidating. I can't wait for the next installment to come out in the fall!

The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan

I almost DNFed this book. I was around that part where Violet was delving into some sort of relationship with Nate and I just thought that everything was happening too fast between them to warrant such feelings that I had to stop at the utter ridiculousness of it.

I put off reading the rest of it for weeks and weeks because if that ridiculousness continued then I would be forced to find a replacement for my iPad. However, there were a number of reviews I've seen of the later books in the series that rated four to five stars and where they expressed their excitement about them. I then wondered whether things get better... because of course I sometimes have this insane criterion of judging a book by its romance aspect.

Hexed by Michelle Krys

Hormones, hormones and more hormones!

Okay, nothing really happened. It didn't happen... between the two leads but it doesn't mean that it didn't happen to others. It was the reason why the main female character broke up with her boyfriend and fell out with her best friend. Of course, if it was me, I would let Aunt Penny's ex-UFC fighter to rough up the ex and stop being frenemies with the ex-best friend and become enemies once and for all. They don't even warrant a blip on the radar. But this is high school with the popular crowd with all the cliches associated with it. *cue rolling of eyes...from me*

Ruin and Rising (Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo
Genre : YA fantasy
Rate : 4.5/5

One of my most anticipated release this year and I am really happy I end up loving it.
This is the final conclusion to the Grisha Trilogy which is one of my most fave series out there. I will miss the world of Ravka. Some of the hardcore fans did not like what went down here especially to our beloved villain Darkling. But i was not upset about it coz i already had the feeling he was doomed from the beginning and it was too late for him...it was just sad. On the other hand MAL really stood out here...the steady rock to Alina when he finally accept the fact of what Alina was meant to be and do with her being the Sun Summoner.
It was inevitable of who she ends up with despite other possible love interest, but there was only one true heart for her from the beginning and that is her best friend. So when everything was revealed here esp. about the third amplifier it all made sense in a way that I was content with how Alina lived out the rest of her life after the fall of our beloved villain. Great sacrifices was given but one that was required to save Ravka and for team MALINA to have the freedom to love each other! Other side characters also stood out in this book like Genya, David and Nikolai!

"I am not Ruined. I am Ruination."

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

After reading several YA novels with whiny, entitled, childish characters, I was happy to get to know Lucy and Owen who are both smart, responsible, and kind of old-school with their choice of communication tool. Lucy’s rich but she’s not braggy; she’s actually simple and keeps to herself — an introvert like me. And Lucy and I share the same favorite city (Paris, although I haven’t been there) and same favorite spot in Paris (Point Zero in Notre Dame). Owen’s poor and broken (because of his mother’s death) but he’s resourceful, smart, and a very good son.

This book is about young love and travels, and the viability of long-distance relationships. It's a gem, something that doesn't just entertain but also touches your heart and mind.

Well if you love the city of Paris...then you will absolutely love Anna and the French Kiss (if you haven't read it pa) ...and there is a special scene there that involves POINT ZERO!

Raging Star (Dust Lands #3) by Moira Young
Genre : YA, dystopian, apocalypse sort of
Rating : 3/5

So this is the final book of the Dust Lands series. It was gritty and dark as usual and characters deaths as expected but not the ones i was really hoping...and I was just pretty much gutted when the very reasons that Saba worked so hard for from the beginning didn't actually make it till the end. This was quite a hard book to read i had to stop from time to time because of the heavy atmosphere and nothing seems to be working in favor for Saba. I wanted that Jack finally open up his heart but no even in the end, but at least Saba and him and travelling together now instead of apart like in every book of this series. And that heart stone is just messing with Saba's mojo seriously esp. when it comes to DeMalo who we learned was actually T's toooootttt! WTH! I am just thankful that for everything and i mean everything that Saba lost she still have NERO the faithful crow. There is no triumph only a lot of frustrations and heart aches and inconclusive love interest. Now that i think about it, this book was kinda depressing. But the writing is unique and consistent. Maybe in time i will learn to appreciate the no happily ever after of this series. It was meant to be that dark.
