Guardian (Proxy #2) by Alex London
Genre : YA Sci-fi, dystopian, lgbt
Rating : 3/5

This sequel to Proxy is still filled with action packed scenes but I was more annoyed with Syd. He was essentially broken inside after what happened in the last book. Hence the angst ridden pity party for most part of the book and I was just so frustrated for Liam his new bodyguard who is more than interested in him than being his bodyguard. But Syd was all no i'm not ready to face for anything like that and ran away to hide and mopes more, like WTH! if he is not happy with his forced situation with the new council who is just as corrupt as the the previous one they destroyed then he should do something about it and stop whining. And i still managed to enjoy some other parts of the books so it was not a total fail. It just lost its momentum but that ending tho left me hanging.

My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal
Genre : Paranormal Romance, YA
Rating : 2/5

The premise could have worked for me if i just found most of the main characters likable but i don't so i wasn't so emotionally invested to the story. But i do like the build up of the mystery behind the death of Cassidy. This is basically a crime of passion. When the friends you thought you knew all your life might be the very ones who will lead to your deadly downfall. I was also a bit confused whenever Cassie's ghostly form gets transported against her will most of the time from one timeline to another past to present. Only her boyfriend can see her ghost form after she died because her unfinished business may have something directly to do with her bf. There were lies and betrayal and its frustrating for Cassie to learn all this very slowly coz she didn't remember any details of the events prior that led to her death. Anyways, over all it was just an ok read for me. No particular feels for this one.

I've just read one of the most engrossing series that i've come across...

Welcome to the Underworld Series by Con Template
Genre : Adult fiction, crime drama, romance, published fanfic (tho i don't know what fanfic was this)

Welcome to the Underworld #1
Rating : 5/5

I was introduced to Choi Yoori the MC and she has amnesia three years prior. Unbeknownst to her she is a dead ringer to revered Queen of the Underworld named An Soo Jin in South Korea who died three years ago as well. And she was brought into this underworld society by a King of the underworld Kwon Tae Hyun...the King of Serpents. This book reads like its watching a Korean drama unfold before your eyes. I love it. It is my guilty pleasure..no matter how silly the characters or a scene is sometimes. But seriously I shipped this two so hard! the underworld is very unforgiving and Yoori will discover that there is more to her forgotten past than she can imagine. But don't worry coz there are a lot of funny banters bet. the two characters Yoori who is feisty yet clumsy and the very arrogant and powerful crime lord Tae Hyun.

The Fall of Gods #2
Rating : 5/5

Seriously there were more deep and dark secrets that were spilling out here but what stand out to me is that irresistable charm of Tae Hyun...i swear i will melt into puddle and Yoori barely hanging on to her raging hormones but she prevailed amazingly with the use of a hand cuff! *wink wink* hehehe! and just there were a lot of KILIG scenes here. But just when you think things are going to work between them despite his dangerous world, he revealed another secret that tore them apart and i was just left heart broken for them with that ending. UGH! torture much?

The War of Gods #3
Rating : 5/5

A lot of devious plot. Unexpected ones. A lot of FEELS for me too! There is a reason why An Soo Jin was still revered as the Queen of the Underworld and it is all revealed here. And poor Yoori :( I was distraught that she and Tae Hyun were doomed to fail from the beginning.

Nobody said that finding Paris was easy. They just said it was worth it.
But they never imagined it was this impossible in the first place. *SOBS*

I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 4 to COME OUT! ESPECIALLY WHEN LAST BOOK ENDS IN A MAJOR CLIFFY!!! DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT! IT'S GONNA BE EXPLOSIVE!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter #1) by JK Rowling
Genre : YA, fantasy, adventure
Rating : 4/5

What can i say that wasn't said by others before me already. Although i only just got around to finally starting on this series due to a reading marathon challenge by local bookworm community here in cebu, i got motivated. Anyways, this one was just simply magical and brilliant imagination by Ms. Rowling. Harry's wizarding world is just spectacular and it was easy for me to imagine as well while reading every chapter coz i can still remember the movie adaptation :) But because the element of surprise and anticipation was not that high for me in this one hence not the perfect 5 rating.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (HP #2) by J.K Rowling
Genre : YA fantasy, adventure
Rating : 4/5

Another challenging adventure for Harry and this time its getting more dangerous as Voldemort is slowly gaining his powers. But i have the misfortune of meeting one of the most annoying characters ever in the pathetic Gilderoy Lockhart...seriously he is more annoying in the book than on the film...and i almost forgot just how suicidal Dobby can be O.o and i hate Lucius Malfoy! But again Rowling is showing her literary brilliance as she is expanding more of Harry's magical world.

Tied with Me (With Me in Seattle # 5) by Kristen Proby
Genre : Adult Contemporary Romance
Rate : 3/5

Not much drama as i expected it to be compared to other books of this series. Still Mark Montgomery is one sexy copy with kink for ropes. And Nic bakes cupcakes and it making me crave for one. It was a steamy installment but Mark is not as darkly dominant but is actually very caring and only wants to tops Nic in the bedroom department. So lucky gal. hehehe! Not a bad read just not very satisfying as i expected it to be.

Crystal Cove (Friday Harbor #4) by Lisa Kleypas
Genre : Adult romance contemporary, PNR
Rating : 3/5

It is actually more magical than i thought it would be. It reminded of that 90's movie Practical Magic. There are witches and doomed love and anyway in the end love conquers death...just sacrifice a bit of your magic. Over all it was an enjoyable read although it didn't end up being a favorite of mine. I still love Lisa Kleypas :)
