UNTIL THE END (Quarantined #1) by Tracey Ward
this read made me crave for the walking dead series...definitely! ive followed this tv show like an addict. same thing happened after reading UNTIL THE END. i love the actions, the battles, the characters. i dont like the zombies, but thats besides the point since they were regulars, constant, given. but the thing about the story between alissa and jordan, is that this was not focused mainly on how to survive these undead by running, hacking off their decomposing faces and rotting bodies, shooting bullets, or arrows straight to their heads. most important is the development of the characters as they fight for their lives. the formation of trust and the slow build up of romance made it real. the banters and funny remarks thrown off each other made the story light and less gory.
i am not new to this set up. hey, the walking dead really did that for me. maybe, alissa is the female version of my fave guy darryl. with that bow and arrow, badass look, right?! and jordan, awwww! you made my heart stopped on one of those scenes of yours... i can never think of any guy to be with when i am face with that kind of catastrophic event other than you. i know the timing for romance was not kind, but you have to make the most out of what you've got. so, even love was expected, i kind of like how they were not fully concentrated on that. surviving is, and the strengthening of ties and bonds, backing each other up, and strategizing future actions are more important. that leads me to think, i definitely need to create my own zombie apocalypse plan right now, 'coz you dont know when will the fever strike.
