WHY WE BROKE UP by Daniel Handler
4/5

oh, i take it back! the first few chapters i was reading this book were the worst ones. too much words, in my opinion unnecessary and confusing. but as i went on... omg! i learned to love the characters. min and ed. teenagers feeling normal emotions. love, fear of acceptance, ego, pride, friendship, fame, foolishness, betrayal, curiosity. oh what a wonderful time to be inlove. but so complicated in their own ways.

sometimes, the overcrowding of words frustrated me but alas, the book surprised me at the very end that i almost ate my words for almost dnf-ing it. such a shame if i did not finish. the story was just an instrument. it got me to the core, straight to my heart. it was a reminder of something in my past. actually, at the end, alot of testimonies were out. and i was amazed how we people felt almost the same feelings. truly, we are all humans. hearts can be broken some other times.

please, read it... don't mind the lengthy words and explanations... but it was all worth it!

Complicit by Stephanie Kuehn
Genre : YA psychological thriller
Rating : 4/5

I managed to get my theory right about 50% into the book i think, but still the author did an excellent job in building up the mystery and finally revealing the gawd awful truth towards the end with deadly consequences...AND OMFG! THAT LAST CHAPTER...THE ENDING! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING...THAT CONCLUSION...SERIOUSLY! it was dark and twisted...just goes to show just how far your mind can f*cked with your reality and you wouldn't even realize it.

Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
Genre : YA psychological thriller, crime, mystery, romance
Rating : 5/5

Man it is not a joke to be locked up abroad and our MC here Anna was just accused with the gruesome murder of her very best friend while on a holiday in Aruba along with a group of friends. As she awaits for her trial, she endured a lot of hardship and betrayal. Will she ever be proven innocent while the prosecutor is bent on proving her guilty of the crime...i was really caught up of how unfair Anna was being treated during the course of her trial that i almost forgot that there is always another side to every story...there is the most important question of WHY Elise the victim was brutally murdered and not just WHO did it. One reviewer described this as Gone Girl meet Amanda Knox trial case. Since i haven't read Gone Girl yet i can't say for sure.
Again i was blown away of the conclusion of the book and sometimes it was all right there in your face and I just refused and maybe failed to realize how a killer mind works.
