... cheers !!!!

malot1182 wrote:Superb! I don't know but this book gave warmth to me. Collins never failed to give chills down my spine with her one-liner, chapter-ender sentences. If Hunger games ignited a spark, the Catching Fire fueled it, the Mockingjay is like watching the fire burns and succumbs in itself until it was peacefully out. Definitely a must-read series.

a heart warming holiday romance from one of my fave author Lisa Kleypas...i must say it has a different feel to it compare to her previous contemporary romance novels...actually this one is more soothing and has hallmark quality written all over it...i can't say it will be my favorite among her works but still enjoyed reading it.

I read this in one day. I'd say, mas maganda talaga yung movie.

Then started reading Hannibal, but stopped kasi parang crossover sa Bone Collector. Or Bone Collector novel tapos nilagay mo si Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter. hahaha!

Over the long weekend, I read the first three installments of Trese - the comic book series by Kajo Baldisimo and Budjette Tan. I'm proud of how the illustrations, the story, and the characters were executed. It's basically the story (and adventures) of a supernatural detective named Alexandra Trese. She confides, seeks counsel, fights, exists side-by-side supernatural creatures known to Filipinos (tikbalang, manananggal, white lady, duwende, etc) and "normal" people. My favorite so far is the third volume, Mass Murders, because of the backstory. I highly recommend it. Less than 200 pesos per book at your friendly bookstores!

Done with Murder in the Rue de Paradis. Typical crime/mystery novel. But this one is a new breather for me coz it tackles terrorists, Yellow Crescent (in which I never heard of until I've read this book), Kurds, Turks..and of course, the setting is in Paris!

After that, I've read Fearless by Francine Pascal. About a heroine who is fearless, literally. No fear-genes if there is such a thing. It is a series comprised of 36 books, in which for me it sucks coz where could I get those copies? It was published in the year 1999. hahaaha! So, I settled not to look for the others and contented myself with this book. Some of the "romantic" parts made me to twinge a bit coz it's too Sweet-Valley-High for me, now that I'm already nearing my 30s.

Pero sabi nga nila Age is just a number and being YOUNG is a mindset.

So, another YA novel for me --- GRACELING by Kristin Cashore.

Just finished reading Beautiful Chaos. It has a major cliffhanger, it makes me desperate to get a hold on the fourth book!
