Byron, I'm amused with your disappointment towards this book, I share your sentiment though, this is kinda forgettable among his works. Any suggestion as to which book to read after The Alchemist? I have Aleph but have not gone past a few chapters...

hi chum. i've not read the Manuscript Found in Accra but i've read 4 Coelho books so far.
The Devil and Miss Prym
Veronika Decides to Die
By the River Piedra I sat down and wept
The Alchemist

And I am currently reading The Witch of Portobello.

One of my all time favorite is The Devil and Miss Prym. I loved it so much!
And I also enjoyed and loved Veronika Decides to Die.
