Finished reading Tom Clancy's THREAT VECTOR about 2 weeks ago.
Although this was co-written with Mark Greany.
If you're into espionage, techno-military stuff then this is ok, although not as good as Clancy's previous works like Cardinal of the Kremlin, Clear and Present Danger, etc.
Main Plot or issue: China trying to claim Taiwan and South China Sea --> somehow currently relevant to the present SCS issue, and scary if indeed what happens in the book may happen

The Pragmatic Thinking and Learning

Went back to this book after a long break so I can move it out of my queue.
It's long and can be boring but It can get interesting if you use mind map and if you have read a similar topic which I did recently.

Jut finished Building Great Software Engineering Teams for a software engineer like me, this is a good read to have knowledge on the opposite side of the fence. There are dull parts that you can safely skip like immigration, visas, etc. Overall it is a good book.

AngularJS Essentials
Very good book, I skimmed through other books on AngularJS to learn and I found this book perfect as the first book for learning AngularJS. It's concise, with good examples. After getting a good background, I would definitely recommend reading another book to expand and get more details on this subject.

It's an okay book 3/5. I would not recommend it for beginners though. I find it a bit disorganised. I did not like how the author would introduce a new operator and then promise to expound on it in more details later. In the beginning of some chapters, the book would list down topics to be discussed as if telling the reader "please stay there will be sweets in this chapter" which is of course unnecessary. There is a whole chapter dedicated to SQL plus which I don't need so I skipped it. The code samples are not easy to navigate while reading and trying it out.

It took 15 days. But here we go, It's a very good book, only a little over a hundred pages. I am rating it 4 of 5, its title is accurate, very good introduction. I do have practical experience with maven2 and I have read the first chapter of Maven a Developer's Notebook. I have tried the examples using maven3 and most worked fine.
