4.5/5 Highly Recommended

"There is complexity and realism with the story, and the main plot here about defending a fortress from a military siege can easily compete against any memorable siege story like Battle for Helm's Deep or Battle for Minas Tirith from Tolkien's ultra popular Lord of the Rings trilogy. The forces of Dros Delnoch will recieve reinforcements but still the enemies greatly outnumber the defensive ranks. Druss the Legend will need everything to lift the morale of the defense by inspiration and strategy. The Battle for Dros Delnoch lasted for months (3 months at least) and if you're a military historian, this novel might remind you of the 13-day Battle of the Alamo, or more recently World War II's Siege of Leningrad that lasted 872 days..."

A story of the iconic star crossed lovers Juliet and Romeo told in a different twist of love and ultimate betrayal and what follows is a 700 years of battling it out for true love to flourish and eventually Juliet found her second chance after all. As long as there are hope for other lovers on earth she will believe in love again and find forgiveness in herself and find the freedom she long sought. And as for Romeo who became a villain, i wonder if he will find his redemption as well. This a YA paranormal novel in a typical high school setting but it didn't take away some beautiful morals of the story.

At first i thought this is more of story that concentrates on paranormal creatures existing around Silkie Island the setting of the plot. However, its more of the coming of age and self discovery of Miranda Hawkins Merchant as she joins her mother in Selkie Island to help settle the estate of her estrange grandma who just passed away. There she learns of the life and the other side of her mother that she never knew while trying to make sense from her very logical mind about the mysteries surrounding Silkie Island and most of all about the local boy Leo whom she find herself slowly falling for.

The Alchemy of Forever...YA novel about incarnation to be immortal thru alchemy..towards the end just when i thought Seraphina can finally get away from her controlling ex bf Cyrus, he outwitted her...i was pretty bummed about it till i realize there might be a sequel to this.

My So Called DEath by Stacey Jay...tells of a hilarious life after death of Karen Vera,a perky ex-cheerleader died in a freak accident during one of her difficult routine and discover she became death challenge aka ZOMBIE! what follows is her escapade as a new student at DEAD High. It was a fun read just something to talk about it with my young cuz!

Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally...another YA novel of a 17 yr. old girl Jordan Woods, who loves and plays football really well who is dealing with a love triangle and daddy issues on the side.

I've been tru a lot of YA novel stuff these days just for light reading and so that i can recommend some to my young cousins.
