my experience is that after i watched the movie, i find it hard to read the book most especially if it does not vary much from it. but i'll still read this one for i think this is a part of a series.

Kamusta ang divergent? Wala sanang masyadong romance. Hehhe. gusto ko yung maraming events eh.

Merong romance but subtle naman sya. first part kasi is more of the training tas from there nag build up naman yung pacing. And may action. pak! pak! bang! bang! kaboom! :D

Try the sequel INSURGENT...much more action as in super and you learn more about the dynamics nang ibang factions. And other surprising characters and twists. There is still romance that is more fleshed out but not cheesy at least to me just intense but it is not the focus of the story. One of my fave series. And it is currently being adapted to a movie screen. Casting is still going on.FYI.

Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi...sequel to the Shatter Me series. The first half of the book was frustrating coz i was dragged through the annoying pity party of the lovely Juliette and awesome Kenji is the only reason who made me push through. In the second half of the book the action finally took off and there were shocking revelations and a triangle of death and relativity it was madness! and the romance dept. i must admit in my marshmallow heart is melting my brain into a pool of puddle. I know it sounds disgusting but yeah Aaron Warner "You Destroy Me" in a good way. He is not even the male protagonist. Love triangle at its best....aaahhh! I still don't like the author's writing style.

Wallbanger by Alice Clayton....very very funny and sexy romantic book. Clive the cat is the best character...lol! Puuurrriiinnnaaa! This is an adult book but really a light and quick read. Almost all the characters are lovable and likable even the harem girls!

I hate to say this but I dont like this one. It's all blah blah blah and last 100 pages of the book andun lang yung revelation kung ano ba tinutumbok ni JK Rowling sa novel nya. I like her intention of her novel but not how she wrote it. It's like a teledrama of a small town and turned out something "Magnifico-ish" twist.

Yes, this novel is for adults. Snogging, affairs, drugs, complicated life of being a teenager dealing with problems brought by adults.

Tayong Pinoy sawa na sa ganitong plot. Yun nga lang mejo nahabaan ako ng pag build up ng story. 500-page book and 400 pages was telling this-and-that. 100 of it was "oh-I-see" and "that's sad".

2 stars. 1 because it's JK Rowling and 2nd star because I've finished it somehow without abandoning it.

Or maybe, I'm the one who's missing the point. SOB.
