A Gentleman's Honor by Stephanie Laurens (Bastion Club #2) story of Alicia Carrington and Anthony "Tony" Blake Viscount Torrington. Another one bites the dust. It was sensual although not as illicit as the first but the mystery plot was intriguing but I realized who the mastermind villain before he was revealed. However, Alicia and Tony need to communicate better after all that intimate times they've spent together they both didn't realize whats the real deal in their relationship till towards the end.

Captain Jack's Woman (prequel to the Bastion Club series) by Stephanie Laurens...story of Capt. Jack aka Lord Jonathon Hendon and Kathryn "Kit" Cranmer...a case of hidden identity and spies and smuggling all sound exciting and it has the many usual sensual scenes. But this one has a different tone compared to the usual style of the author so I think this is one of her very early work.

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo...second installment of the Grisha Trilogy. I have been waiting for this and it was awesome. Maybe not perfect but it was thrilling and exciting. The magic and adventure of the Grisha in Ravka continues to entertained me. I was feeling sad for a while with Alina and Mal torn apart with everything going on around them. Sturmhond is another fascinating character added to this story and I hope to see him again in the final installment and that the Darkling will be sadly defeated once and for all. He was a love and hate kind of villain for me so yeah i have mixed feelings of whether i want him to be completely obliterated in the conclusion of this series. Or maybe I can ask the author to let him live but that i get to keep him to myself. lol!

The Animorphs series by K.A. Applegate. I never got to read them when they came out while I was in elementary school.

I thought that since it's a series about a bunch of kids who morphed into animals FOR kids, it wouldn't be painful at all, that it would be cute, easy to digest and light-hearted.

Let's just say that my heart broke multiple times whenever I read one and there are over 50 books in the main series. The author made it easy for me to relate, fall in love and feel for the protagonists who always found themselves in the most unfortunate and seemingly impossible situations.

All in all, a good read. ^^

A Lady of his Own by Stephanie Laurens (Bastion Club #3)..historical romance...follows the story of ex-spy Charles St. Austell, Earl of Lostwithiel and Lady Penelope Jane Marissa Selborne aka Lady Penny for short. They are both childhood friends and neighbor and after 12 years both are still unmarried and the spark they felt before is still there and they reconnected amid dangers of a professional killer and a possible scandal of a traitorous scheme. I really like this one the best so far from this series. I hope it will get better in the next one.

The Ask and The Answer by Patrick Ness...Book 2 of the Chaos Walking series. It left me quite reeling in the end. Like a lot of times i was feeling OMG this is driving me crazy so many layered twist and turns. This is not my usual kind of stories but i still think this series is brilliant by now. One final book to go the final installment to the trilogy which is Monsters of Men, but i will need a chapter break because this was not a feel good book.
ps. more of my thoughts on this series to be found in the Young and Adult section under the Chaos Walking Trilogy thread.

A Fine Passion by Stephanie Laurens...Bastion Club#4...the heroine Lady Clarice was such a commanding woman...no simpering virgin and she really takes charge! She was off putting at first but then gradually i came to admire her spine made of steel. The hero Lord Julius has finally found and conquered his Boadicean bride :) Historical Romance.

One Tiny Lie by K.A. Tucker ...a sequel to "Ten Tiny Breaths" which i absolutely love but this one fell short for me. Which is really sad however this is the story of Livie the younger sister of Kacey who is the main character in the first book. The plot of a love triangle that is heading for a disaster really and in a college premise is no longer fresh for me at all. I couldn't find myself to care that much about the main characters because they are not something new in the New Adult genre. The author is really a great writer for this kind of stuff but i felt that she could have done better esp. with the ending w/c felt rush.
