'Til The World Ends (Anthologies) by Julie Kagawa/A. Aguirre and Karen Duvall
Truthfully the only story i was interested in this one is by J. Kagawa the "Dawn of Eden" for it is a prequel to her Blood of Eden series. It explained more of how the dystopian vampire world came to be. This is a heart stopping short novella and Kagawa did not disappoint. Those rabids were scary and there was this scene towards the end that i thought that my heart will just burst out along with Kylie. Seriously Kagawa knows how to make crucial scenes come to life in your mind.

The other two stories "Thorne & Thistle" where I was introduced to a badass thief Mari Thistle, while the story was a non stop action paced another author could have made it more intense.
The last one was Sun Storm...a sci-fi story with two kinetecs and a romance going on while the world is coming to an end it was ok although nothing spectacular about it. which is why J. Kagawa's story was a perfect opening coz otherwise those who picked this one up will lose interest if it started with the other two stories.

Beauty from Surrender (Beauty #2) by Georgia Cates...eh it fell short from my expectations. The first book ended with such a cliff hanger so i was excited for the reunion but i find myself losing interest with the characters. Once they acknowledge their feelings for each other Jack Henry seems to have lost his sexy edge. There is a sense of desperation from the characters that didn't flow well into the story. And the hot sessions even got me bored. I don't need to read about it every after page. The plot got lost somewhere:( so i'm done with this and if there is another installment i won't be looking forward to it.

Simple Perfection (Rosemary Beach#5) by Abbi Glines...I wasn't fond with Della's character because she came out kinda weak to me but i'm later in the story she got better and Woods is just so supportive of her to the point of being clingy. But there were a lot of surprise twist in this one that I did not see it coming! Now I'm looking forward to the next installment about the other side characters esp. Harlowe and Grant and b*tchy Nan will be present more than ever. She needs to get far away XD

Finally finished with the Maggie Quinn: Girl vs. Evil series. I liked it! I wish there will be more books to this series.

I am a big fan of Star Wars so when I saw Ian Doescher's "Willam Shakespeare's Star Wars" I bought a copy and finished reading it 30 mins upon purchase.

It's basically Star Wars told in iambic pentameter, a Shakespearean parody.

The Faerie Ring (Faerie Ring #1) by Kiki Hamilton...an enchanting YA fantasy about feys and such set in Victorian Age. I am intrigued with Rieker and Tiki is an unusual heroine name well...next to Bitterblue i guess. But so far i like it. I still love the Iron Fey series by J. Kagawa :)

The Torn Wing (Faerie Ring #2) by Kiki Hamilton...and the stone of Tara finally roared! hail the new Queen of Seelie Court! the ending left me hanging! i like it, it has many twist and surprising revelations and it is only because of Larkin that i only gave this a 3 star out of 5. I just don't trust her and most of the time she irritated the hell out of me in this one.

"What's going to happen?" She whispered. "Everything will change," Rieker said softly, his smoky eyes intent upon hers, "but our love will remain the same."

Oh yeah Rieker keep making me swoon ;)

Midnight Tides is the fifth book of The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.

I have read plenty of Fantasy novels over the years and most of them are really ambitious. They would have to be ambitious for they are essentially in the shadow of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Some authors just don't care and just create their own worlds not to impress but to immerse. Steven Erikson doesn't just immerse you, though. He sucks you in his world and leaves you there crying. You'll be crying because you would be so lost in those massive realms that he calls warrens. The timescopes are staggering too, hundreds of thousands of years go by with the histories of hundreds of races and cultures. There are also hundreds of characters, so many that I can barely remember who they were and what they stand for at times.

But why am I five or six novels deep in this ten-part series, you may ask? All because of a promise. A promise that these thousands of pages with hundreds of characters across eons of histories would ultimately clash into an epic conclusion - a conclusion that ends with the war with the Crippled God.

For now, I would have to make do with half of the sixth book and be pleasantly surprised by new characters, the developments of the old ones, and heartaches with those that fell (they may still Ascend, right?).
