The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner #1) by James Dashner
Since the first trailer was out and i don't want to take a peek unless i finished reading the first book that i dashed to the finish line to finish this one overnight. Sorry Thomas but you've got nothing on me when it comes to book running...lol!
but seriously this book got me hooked. I was confused about what was really going on in the Glade like Tommy here....coz it's a MAZE duh! But then eventually things were revealed slowly but still mysteriously and many heart stopping action sequence later I wanted a grief serum coz somebody dieeeeee! actually i think it is safe to say that many died...but really the one character you thought is gonna make it somehow just got taken out and It was brutal man! I mean i get that he was kinda annoying the whole time but his intentions were good. I love that there is something nasty and dangerous here, conflicted characters, unexpected characters, probably the ones that went loony. you would be too if you underwent the "changing".
Anyway, i finally watched the trailer and it looks very promising. I love how the maze looks like and those massive walls will look amazing on screen. I noticed some slight change in some scenes in the trailer but only to make it more suspenseful than in the book. Dylan looks perfect for the role of Thomas. @arjaye...don't miss the premiere ng crush mo ha? hehehe!

The finale book, CLOCKWORK PRINCESS was a lot for me to take. In a good way, if i may say so. The actions, the twists, the problem solving, desperations and losses, the comedic antics, the drama, the battles, the rollercoaster rides of feeling and emotions, TESSA, WILL, JEM. I felt them all.

For the part that was bugging me ever since the love triangle was clearly stated, and Magnus Bane uttered these words to Tessa, "Most people are lucky to have even one great love in their life. You have found two." I came to understand the true meaning of this when i reached the remaining last pages of the book. True to the words, Tessa found two great loves. She has to choose, yes, but she did it wisely and wholeheartedly. To know how she was able to do that, you must read the series yourself. :)

CASSANDRA CLARE, i just thought, made the unthinkable again. How i came to love the mortal instruments instantly, gave meaning on how i can put my heart into the infernal devices, if i just gave the chance and time to it, slowly but surely. The trilogy was one smooth ride for me, despite all the bumps and rough phases on the way. But that made it more interesting for me, and came to make me love this series. I am glad i experienced the shadowhunters' world once again. A complete package for me, and epic ending.

I was emotionally attached to the characters on this book. This book is like 'The Fault in Our Stars' but a bit more mature touching on a controversial issue (Dignitas). The character's clumsiness and witty punchlines is the source of much of the hilarity seen in this book. But the story itself is very very weepy! If you're like me, I imagine my characters portrayed by real celebrities. In this novel, The woman is acted by Emily Blunt and the guy is acted by David Gandy. I give this book 5 stars!

aaahhhh!!! Cruel Beauty!!!! it just absorbed me right there and then the moment i picked up the book! and the writer in particular is really good :) The mood and style she creates in the book is so consistent and compelling. The whole book is a paradox and everything just turns in on itself and twists and turns at every point; from the setting, to the characters, to the plot of the story itself. It's not one of the best books I've ever read but it's a great book! :D The story is based on the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast. So yeah it is a romance story but the book also focuses on other things like sacrifice and duty to your family and to your country. It was a little scary for me too haha with all the demons and shadows and the sort of creepy castle but that is what kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to read more! :)

YAY! i also recently finished reading this one coz i love retelling of fairy tale classics. Although I want to adore this one but it hasn't reached that awesomeness. But i like the chemistry and dynamics of Nyx and Ignifex. That Nyx's character is capable of ruthlessness but not evil. I was used to reading series now a days that i felt this one is still lacking some back story about the Kindly Ones and the mysterious castle.
I am glad that you enjoyed this one very much. May i recommend another series that are also retelling The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (#1 Cinder, #2 Scarlet, #3 Cress, #4 Winter (expected in 2015)

*I wasn't born to be saved." ~ Nyx
