About the Author
Alexander Yates grew up in Haiti, Mexico, Bolivia and the Philippines where he graduated from high school and later returned to work as a contractor in the US Embassy. He has an MFA from Syracuse University, where he edited the literary journal Salt Hill and won a Creative Writing Fellowship, as well as Joyce Carol Oates awards in fiction and poetry. Other work has appeared in American Fiction, The Kenyon Review Online and FiveChapters.com. He currently lives in Washington DC with his wife and cats.
