So i found out that the movie adaptation will come out this December 4, 2013 and i am not a sci-fi book enthusiast. I was not interested to read the book, but for those who have read it is it any good? But i will look forward to the movie so that i will not be constantly comparing it to the book which i understand is considered to be a sci-fi classic.

im not into sci-fi books as well but since Ender's Game will be out on Cinemas tomorrow so i tried reading it and i just confirmed that im not really a sci-fi genre fanatic. :)
hmmm, i wud have loved the book if not for the lengthy internal narratives.

However, i did enjoy the moments when the characters exchange conversation - its simple and easy to read and comprehend and imagine. ")
i read a full synopsis instead. :p

im finding it hard to construct the environment of the battle school - the null gravity and the likes
so i'll watch na lang the movie for it.

i think, basing on the trailer, the effects are great. it will be a feast for my eyes.

I read it because it was in a must read list in Goodreads. The ratings were high so I thought it couldn't be all that bad.
Now that I've read it, I could say that it's not so good but it's not so bad either.
Not so good because at first, I was interested in the minds of geniuses. How they process information. Stuff like that. But half way through, I started getting bored. I'm pretty much emo. So, I like books that make me feel something. With that in mind, the book was pretty much bland for my taste.
The ending was predictable. I was able to imagine what the twist was going to be.
Not so bad because I haven't read any books like it.

I haven't seen the movie. Such travesty! :P But I have read all of the Ender's Game graphic novels as well as the related spin-offs. I have to say that I enjoyed it quite a bit. I found it to be a page turner and the plot excited me. I've yet to pick up the novels though but I'm certain I'll read them all once I've my hands on them. :D

I'm hoping the movie did the novel justice but I've heard mix reviews about it. hmm.. :P

There's a graphic novel?! Where did you get them?

Same with joesel, I was actually having a hard time imagining the whole battle school which is why I didn't get to enjoy it all that much. I was imagining kids or more like babies in a Star Trek ship floating around. If I had laid my hands on those graphic novels first, I probably wouldn't be giving the book a lukewarm review.
