There may or may not be some differences when it comes to fiction and Non fiction. That is why I am always careful with what books I buy. Because the sad truth is some people are willing to make some stories that may or may not be true. That is why I love non fiction books because there are a lot of "What if's". We just need to be positive and think that not everyone lies. The nice thing about Non fiction is that it's not about the history or past only. There are a lot of things yet to be discovered. But nothing in this universe that can't be explained. Eventually.

Hi! I read both fiction and non fiction too! I too agree with Trid on this. As an educator, I observed that most of my students no longer read books and are engrossed to the internet, browsing or playing games. Most of them want instant information as they are too impatient to read more. They also have relatively poor vocabulary. When I tell them a trivia, they're somewhat amazed to how much I know to think that it's already a common knowledge. Some ask me the meanings of words during their exams and most do not understand what is being asked in the problem.

I agree with you lisleyreyes :) I read more of fiction, just for entertainment!... and truthfully it is more interesting and engaging for me than non-fiction hehe but i do try to read non-fictions once in a while especially those that rethink the obvious or puts a new perspective to things like malcolm gladwell :)

Hi! I'm new here trying to comb through the forum's topics.

For non-fiction, I read them! Books of this genre will transport you to places, introduce you to a wide range of personalities, and lets you dive in a pool of knowledge which happens to be bottomless just as how fiction can. :-) Right now I'm quite engrossed with communication-related books. Something along the line of "how to talk to people so you won't sound so pathetic" and so on, cause I'm really bad at talking to people face to face!

Asking for permission: I'll go check your virtual library and look for possible reads. :-)

I also read both fiction and nonfiction. I particularly like Norwich's A Short History of Byzantium it's almost like Game of Thrones in terms of the court intrigues, violence....why read fiction if history can be more entertaining? :)
