Though it looks like cheating since reading web comics is much easier than reading a thick book, I still include them as "legit read" for the reason that they are still stories expressed creatively by the authors (as fans and creators). I would love to see these works in print, and if I were a philanthropist, I will give them a chance to publish their works.
What is your Le Carre book? If you're used to pure action/gun fights/sexy chicks kind of espionage fiction, a Le Carre book might bore you. But what make a Le Carre novel exceptional are the global, real issues and the realistic psychological perspective of an agent (and sometimes, the double agent) as the author himself is a former operative of Her Majesty's Secret Service. His novel "The Constant Gardener"(the film version in 2005 starred Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz) is an example where you can see how manipulative those multinational pharmaceutical companies and how the natives were treated as guinea pigs of their experimental drugs. Le Carre's style is similar to Graham Greene (who also worked as a British spy and field agent mostly in Hispanic countries during the Cold War period) and I also recommend his work "The Quiet American" and "Our Man in Havana"
