Regarding Pick-a-book, its sad to say that I think they have vanished completely. The SM Dasma store closed many months ago, and the warehouse in Las Pinas is closed too. Not sure about the other 2 branches. They were supposed to move the warehouse to a new location, but no information on the new location ha been posted anywhere and the it's virtually impossible to get in touch with anyone from Pick-a-book.

Hi guys! You might want to check out Solidaridad Bookshop in Padre Faura, Taft Avenue, Manila. It is owned by one of the great Filipino authors, F. Sionil Jose. The books they carry fall under different genre: classics, politics, culture and tradition,poetry... And not only do they carry works of international authors, but also the works of various Filipino authors. Here's a link to my blog post about Solidaridad bookshop. =) http://aizelreads.tumblr.com/post/66037119316/solidaridad-book-shop-padre-faura-taft-ave

oh! thanks for the advice @aizelmacaldo! It's good to immerse ourselves in local culture, especially in filipino literature, once in a while :)
