With the boom of ebooks today, more and more readers are opting for the bits and bytes format of their favorite titles, rather than their pbook versions. But some are still defiant that nothing can replace the feel of a book in their hands. Which one are you?

as much as possible i want a printed copy of the books i want to read...but because ebooks are more economical and faster to obtain they are getting popular as well...but like wanda once mentioned to me that being a book lover myself i want to have the feel of the actual book that i'm reading..the cover...seeing the art put into that cover and i get to write my name on a certain part of the book stating that i'm the owner...and then that tangible piece of words that somehow touched me goes to my collection of books...

printed book

...the smell of ink on paper of a new book just drives me nutz that i actually stick my nose between pages and smell to my heart's content (certified book addict..literally..hehe)

...the crisp feel of the yellowing pages of my favorite books- my first few purchases (been reading books since i can remember but only started my collection when i got work- been a decade already) never fail to enchant me

I like ebooks 'cause I can carry a hundred books with me with a small net book. My most prolific reading was when had my first net book. The gadget was a huge power saver so I was able to read throughout the day in between classes. However, with increasing work in front of the screen, reading from a laptop or desktop monitor seems like an added chore. I'm back to looking for paperbacks again to free myself from staring at the screen for long hours.

Wish I could try a Kindle though... :)

I loooove printed books. When the budget permits, splurge! Nothing beats the feel of paper in my hand, the embossed letters and stuff on the cover and God, the smell! Haha!

And yes, the ebooks on iPad rock! Mine's so full of them. Nice no? It's like reading a book - the pages turn! I was so amazed the first time I saw it, hahaha... :))
