What I do when I want to read but don't have much money...
1. BORROW - from friends, cousins, neighbors, coworkers. Saves me a lot of space, too!
2. RESEARCH for really good books or ask what people who have read a book have to say about it before buying. - usually from co-workers, people my age, family, friends
3. GET USED books - there are lots of stores in town offering this! Click here for a list. http://readphilippines.com/Forum/where-can-i-buy-second-hand-books--t118.html
4. SWAP - Read Philipines has a forum dedicated for swapping, though i've never tried it. http://readphilippines.com/Forum/swapping-and-selling-f19.html
5. KNOW WHEN THE BOOKSTORES ARE ON SALE - Read Philippines has a pretty comprehensive Sale and Promo Schedules that I always keep track of. http://readphilippines.com/Forum/sale-schedules-and-promos-f12.html
6. RE-READ my favorite books - like Pride and Prejudice!
7. VISIT A LIBRARY - apparently there are lots in town though i've never tried it except our library at school! For a list of libraries check this out: http://readphilippines.com/Forum/libraries-f33.html
8. GO ONLINE - for lots of FREE classics available for reading online. Try GoogleBooks - this is where I read Caleb Williams, by William Godwin http://books.google.com/
