Can the admin please post or introduce more titles in the YA section? this is a very popular genre and many are being adapted into a movie since Twilight hit the screen.
Also a post that introduces YA authors and what are their published works. The Admin needs to blast emails to members maybe twice a week for any latest books to be featured in particular genres. You used to do that when I first started here but then lately there has been only a few. Perhaps I can PM the admin of the series that I like to be featured in YA?

Regarding the format...maybe an update that will be easier for members to navigate? Sometimes I have to click to a lot of headings to find the right thread. And to get to know your members better as well may I suggest that when newbies sign up there is a poll that indicate what kind of books/genres that they are into, age and area demographics ( i don't remember if there is one when I signed up)

Engr. Heldervert thanks for this, consider your 301st post commemorated! LOL! kumusta na si Percy? hehehe.

I agree with you Laila.

And can the ADMIN make the link in their emails clickable? I had to copy-paste the link for me to get on the page. I know it's an easy thing to do but copy-pasting is my "main" task at work and I just need a break on doing so.

Basically, we need to get those spam posts out of this forum.

Cheers!

Amen to that! Yes you have our support. Let us know any suggestions that you have or receive. Just be informed that any programming or technical changes to be made to the site will entail cost so might be a bit difficult or impossible to implement since RP is a free site, we don't charge our members. What we suggest is to have more of offline activities, i.e. meet ups. Anyone willing to arrange this is welcome and free to do so!

Thanks admin...when i'll return to the Philippines 'hope a meet up will be scheduled and we can discuss everything. Offline activities should include reach out programs, im thinking more of donating books or reading to children etc., or visiting schools or an orpahanage maybe, anything so that we can spread the joy of reading.

Hi Malot! Yes all links in the invitation to vote emails are always made clickable. But it depends on your email settings and on the email client you use. If your email client (i.e. Outlook, etc.) identify these as possible spam, the clickable functionality is removed. But the original email is always written clickable.

We also issued over a hundred newsletters every week for over a year all with clickable links to our forum threads for easy posting but did not make a significant dent to posting activity. Since this costs labor we decided to stop it for now, unless you can suggest anyone who can volunteer to do this :-)

Hi Laila, sure good suggestion! Except that the staff we hired to do the postings and weekly newsletters cost money, and since RP is free for members we eventually had to let her go, unless we can get sponsors! In any case, the forum is really for members - for them to post and discuss as many titles as they want. The admin's role is really just to moderate and make sure that no explicit or foul language is used, and to delete spam! :-) We strongly urge and recommend that members use the forum for all their book discussions and use it as much as they can since the forum is really for them and not for the admin :-) This is really the way to make the forum sustainable :) Any member who is interested to volunteer to do the postings and/or newsletters is welcome to do so, just let us know :-D He/She will be given moderator status :-)

Regarding the format, these are good suggestions. The update can be seen on the right column of the board. You will see latest post in each forum :)
Other than this, any technical changes to the website that requires programming has to be outsourced so will cost money and therefore might be a bit difficult do to. We really appreciate your good intentions to improve the site and your loyalty to the forum but we suggest to focus suggestions possibly on offline activities or simpler ideas we can do without entailing additional labor or programming cost :-)

Laila, maybe better you start one (just like what i've said in the other post). I'll be willing to help but of course you should be the moderator there for you really a YA addict (a YAddict??) haha that just came to me hehe corny ata...but ya..i'll be calling you a YAddict from now on hehe

If we can't change the format, maybe the emails are a good idea, it will serve also a notification.
and maybe we can upload some pictures, 2 or 3 picture is enough for us to have an idea who we're talking to, and this could attract more members.

I hate percy hehe...I'm loving Thalia, maybe because we have the same profession..i'm an electrical engr, that's why im attracted to her lol

I think its clickable malot. Yes spams are annoying, so maybe if somebody will be given enough privilege to delete those then all is well.

Suggestion, if you do the posting or just started a thread, he/she could email that to all members as notification, and of course he/she should be a moderator.

Sure this can be done by sending a pm to members containing the thread. members will receive notification via email of the pm :-)

OK, but if we have a message in the inbox, can we change the color of the font to RED or anything so that we can immediately see if we have a message?
