seriously, I don't like them, it feels weird to read them, can't get snug and comfortable with an e-book, I need traditional paper books to be able to enjoy a story.

I know exactly how you feel. :P I prefer hard copies over e-books any day but I do appreciate the technology and the convenience it brings to the table.

I use my tablet to have a better CBR (scanned comic books) reading experience. Likewise with textbooks that aren't even distributed here in the Philippines.

I still think there's nothing like curling up to a good book and flipping through its pages but one mustn't discount ebooks just because it isn't traditional, yes? ;)

Anyway, I hope you find a copy of Good Omens. I'll try and see if I can unearth it from my book bins. :) Will let you know if I find it.

@ jem

Hi! Agree with you entirely. I can still remember the very first book that i read (Captains ang King by Taylor Caldwell). The stained cover, how it felt in my hands and the smell. The fact is its easier to recall the book if you read it the old fashion way. But i'm into modern classics and theres no way i can find it in NBS. And i'm not having difficulty finding some in the web.

@ vanphils

Hi! I hope you give ebook a shot...am sure you'll get acquianted with it like we got used to reading without pictures...i'm no tree-hugger but give ebook a chance...peace. ;)

I think you're wrong in your assumption that paper books are "traditional" or "old-fashioned". Paper books have sailed effortlessly into modern times without losing any ground, they are still very popular and even more popular than e-books, I would say.

I would never discredit anything for simply being modern, as I would never give credit to anything simply for being traditional.
Paper books are just better, more comfortable to hold, easier on the eyes, have more of a "real" feeling. A tablet is many things, it can be a book, but it can be a game, it can be a browser, it can be a camera, it can be picture frame, whatever.

But a book is a book. It is fundamentally what it is in all ways and can be nothing else. That solidity gives the reader confidence, keeps his mind focused, and doesn't become distracted with thoughts of "Hm, wouldn't I rather be playing Candy Crush than reading this?" or other such distracting thoughts.

A book is a book, and holds a unique story as no tablet can, sparkling with the promise of its tale to tell before being read, and shining with the lesson learned and experience gained every time you look at it afterwards.
