I've seen the Battle Royale movie. Yes, tama nga si conan_barbero. Mukhang dun nga nakuha ni Suzanne Collins yung idea/inspiration for writing Hunger Games. Kung napanood nyo yung Death Note movie (real actors) sya yung lead actor sa Battle Royale.

You better watch it and see kung paano napaganda ni Collins yung concept. Hindi ko pa rin nababasa yung Mockingjay. Pinapa-excite ko pa sarili ko for the ending hahahha!

Finally read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins! malot1182, you were right about my weekend! .....I Thoroughly enjoyed it....so much that the beach found my nose stuck in the book instead of enjoying the water! :-D hehe. I was very much impressed by this unique idea of having kids battle it out to the death in a gov't-arranged hunger games, though I think it was conan_barbero who said that the idea was not unique. I found myself rooting for Katniss the whole time! I think it was genuis of Suzanne Collins to still be able to weave a love story of sorts for its YA audience into such a savage plot/setting :-) A hugely entertaining and absorbing read!

Hunger games kind of reminds of The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King, about a girl who got lost in the forest and had to survive.

First, wanna greet Snow Angel a happy BEERday!

Wanda, told you.. har har har! Now that you've mentioned a King's novel like H.G. I might look for a copy of it. You must watch the Battle Royale and see the difference. It is a novel too, costs around 400+PHP in NBS. I'd say Collins is such a clever writer to make the plot more enticing for the readers. Already bought the boxed set of H.G and I'll be reading the Mockingjay tomorrow. Then probably next is DIvergent or Blood Red Road.

@ayanamifaerudo: I'm also excited to see the movie. If only I can watch it with you my co-RP's! I think that would be great. hehehhe
