What happens when 2% of the world's population disappears? Does 2% make any difference?

Yes it does. A new tv series will be coming out this June, june 15 to be exact :) and it's based on Tom Perrotta's novel, The Leftovers... I never heard of it until now hihi when i came upon the teaser trailer for season 1... and it seems very... interesting, new and kinda creepy in all honesty but it looks like it's gonna be good! Watch the teaser!

The leftovers is named on of the best books of 2011 by O the Oprah Magazine, Kirkus Reviews, Amazon.com, GQ, NPR ("Fresh Air"), The Washington Post, The Seattle Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Miami Herald, and The Book Page :)

If you're interested in reading the book, you can try reading an excerpt here: http://www.tomperrotta.net/public/pdf/T ... xcerpt.pdf

is this a stand alone novel or a series? coz i don't know if i have time to keep abreast of this tv series. i hate missing one episode. that's why i like to do marathon instead.
so this looks interesting and scary. did some secret govt. group "took care" of those 2% or maybe the aliens did it. hehehe. let me guess they became peculiar people and went to hide in the loops around the world O.o okay i running away w/ my theories na...lol!

hi Laila :) ako rin! once i start an episode, i have to stick tot it and i must finish it until the end!!! that's why i'm loyal to a very few only =)) i can't follow so many series or else maguguluhan lang ako!

It is a stand alone novel, though i wonder how they'll make it into a full-time tv series... for it to be that long... a lot of imagination and creativity perhaps :) Tom Perrotta, the author, is also one of the creators of the series as the show is adapted from his book, just wanted to share that info hihi :)
