On 23 April, the National Book Development Board is hosting a celebration of World Book and Copyright Day, a day that celebrates authors, literature, and a call to respect copyright.
The highlight is a book swap from 1pm to 7pm at the covered walkway near Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. NBDB has invited all of the book clubs to set up our own booth there and bring books for swapping. We are each given a space 2m by 1.5 m (no table) but can set it up however we want it (reading nook or shelf type). The only guidelines are:
- no exchange of cash
- only wholesome books for swapping.
- It's up to us on how we want to value the books for swapping.
In line with this, we will need:
1. Volunteers to help out in the booth. Since the duration is long, (6 hours) we've decided to splt it into two time slots:
- 1pm to 4pm
- 4pm to 7pm
Let us know which time slot you want to join. You can also join both time slots if you like.
2. Books, Books, Books - everyone is invited to drop by and bring their books for swapping.
3. Table / set-up design
Reply here if interested.
