MANILA, Philippines — Festival Supermall welcomed the students of Buli Elementary School for a book reading activity initiated by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – Muntinlupa as a community relations project that aims to develop the love for reading among children from different Muntinlupa public schools.
Ongoing for the last seven months, the project has been held in various venues which add educational value to the event, such as the fire department, the Skyway office, the Pepsi Muntinlupa plant, and many more. Past readers include Muntinlupa Vice Mayor Simundak, the chief of the Muntinlupa fire department, Muntinlupa mayor’s spouse Leah San Pedro, and Skyway chairman Ramon Borromeo.
Guests for the event included PCCI-Muntinlupa president Gloria Padilla, PCCI-Muntinlupa Bobby Franco, Buli Elementary School principal Norma Pulon and elementary school teacher Sandra Protacio.
Students of Buli Elementary School listened enthusiastically to Festival Supermall Amusement Center Group’s Em-Ai de Pedro and Charles Abedejos. An exciting mini-quiz followed, with prizes for the winning students.
The students then went on a tour of “Lost Island: Dinosaurs Alive” exhibit, which features over 20 animatronic dinosaurs of 12 different species depicted in their natural habitat, all made in Kukuru, Japan. The students capped off the funfilled day with rides and attractions at Festival Supermall's indoor amusement park, Pixie Forest.
