Last chapter na pala eto: A Pair of Tickets,,,at least Jing managed to fulfill her late mother's life long wish. It was sad before when she was a child she said something hurtful to her mother regarding the children she left behind in China not knowing the painful story behind that memory.
There will be a time we say something hurtful to our mother whether we like it or not but make sure you say sorry and that we love them once they are gone only regrets will remain.
Finally i managed to finished it pala...i didn't realize i was just one chapter left from were i left off the last time. Something wrong with my ebook copy pala.
Anyways, very profound collection of stories from different views of the various main characters. Some sad, painful, joyful, nostalgic and even cruel. No matter how we disagree many times with our mother they have wisdom that will be very important to us. I look a lot like my late mother and hopefully I can be a reflection of her because she was a great person and an amazing mother to me and my sister.
Ms. Tan has a beautiful way of conveying intimate reflections of what is in the mind of the mother and of the daughter. The Chinese mothers have strong will inside you may not always see it from the outside and even misunderstood by their daughters for they did not take time to really understand them for a long time. They see better what their daughters refuse and does not see in their life. They push and push and sound critical and that's because it is one way that they really do care.
