Hi fellow booklovers!

Postby sikreto » September 23rd, 2011, 11:05 pm

Hi All. I'm new here. As of now, I'm still familiarizing myself with the site's layout

I'm into fiction/fantasy/mystery genre. Guess I'll check the topics for recommendations. Feel free to post your recommendations here though. Thanks!

MADAMI. :) Start off with with Harry Potter, that world is incredible. Then grab some Dan Browns. And lastly, The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Love all of them!

Hi faceyourmonster. Already finished the HP series years ago. Also read a couple of dan brown's books. I'm actually looking for something to read after HP.

Hi jp, wanda, memnoch! Thank you for the warm welcome. :)

Hi sikreto!!!! fiction/fantasy/mystery is a little wide... Maybe you can give more specific description about what you like? I'm a mystery buff too but my favorite types are more like classic whodunits like Wilkie Collins' The Woman in White, Sherlock Holmes! Not sure if they're the type youre looking for. But you can check out my post on The Woman In White here. http://wandafulworldofbooks.blogspot.co ... llins.html. Its supposed to be one of the first mystery novels ever written, even before sherlock holmes!, and i really enjoyed reading it....

I also really like Jeffery Deaver, he's the king of forensics....started writing about forensic myteries even before CSI :D
I wrote a list of uis books here....

Hi wanda! Sherlock Holmes would be the best peg of what I would like. I probably read at least a third of the canon thrice, and half of it twice. I also read one with Poirot but I did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the least of the canon's short stories. Although I liked Christie's Tommy and Tuppence.

I would most likely read The Woman in White because of your review. Thank you very much wanda! :)

And wow! Your library! Now I want someting like that.
