Across the Universe by Beth Revis...not normally a fan of sci-fi stories but this one kept me interested. The author created an interesting dystopian society inside this huge gigantic space ship called Godspeed that has been traveling in space for years carrying a not well known cargos of frozen essentials. However, towards the end of the book it made me feel claustrophobic if Godspeed does not land for another hundreds of years in another planet. How do you survive in a space ship fueled with lies and deceit?
Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles...this is the second book to the Perfect Chemistry series, this is the story of Carlos Fuentes and Kiara (forgot her last name)...YA romance something lighthearted and filled with values. Carlos is a gangbanger and his older brother Alex (from perfect chemistry book) wants him to do better in school and in life in general...Kiara is a well rounded and grounded female protagonist may just be the girl to put him in the right path and believe in himself to have a chance for a better future. I actually like the chemistry between this two they like to pull pranks at each other. Nothing so demeaning just for fun just enough for the other to be irked
UP IN AIR trilogy by R.L. Lilley...Adult Contemporary and lots and lots of lemons...for fans of Fifty Shades series and Crossfire series...but i like the balance of the best aspects from both series and it was executed here in this one. Watch out Christian Grey and Gideon Gross coz James Cavendish is here and making our hearts frantic
EVERNEATH by Brodi Ashton....i'm surprised I end up really loving this one. The characters and the emotions were written very well. By the end of the book I wanted to hold on to Jack and beg him to not let go! This is a paranormal romance that is using the concept of Greek Mythology and Egyptian myth. Seriously you need to read this and listen to Celine Dion's "My Heart WIll Go On" to up the romantic angst but still it's all good . I just hope that the next installment will still be good for me.
A Million Suns by Beth Revis (Across the Universe #2) interesting and dangerous twist and turns of events inside the space ship Godspeed and the biggest secret of all is being revealed. I really really like this. It is more than just a sci-fi dystopian story but about human nature and their reactions as well.
Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines...New Adult Contemporary...lust, love, family drama...i actually like the female protagonist despite her cliched physical look as a blond bombshell. She is no airhead. My kind of romantic story but sad about the ending.
Sabi ko sayo Heldervert Magbasa muna bago manood. tsk tsk tsk hehhe. Unless di mo alam na from the book yung movie. Weheheh
The Mummy or Ramses the Damned. Very interesting plot. I've finished the book wondering what would happen next-- Thas is if Anne Rice would write a sequel of this book. Ramses and Cleopatra alive in modern times? Wicked! hehehhe
