I spent quite some time around with war, techno-thriller and geopolitical novels but I'm yet to find people who shares my interest. Am I forever alone? hahaha! :D Just kidding!

For war novel my favorite will be the "All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque"

For Techno-thriller will be "Red Storm Rising by Pareng Clancy"

And lastly, for Geopolitical novel, it'll be the "Red Phoenix by Larry Bond"

i was a world war 2 "junkie" before. movies, docu, fiction, non-fic. i know, morbid. have you heard of iris chang's rape of nanking? she killed herself didn't she? jerzy kosinki's the painted bird is also about world war 2, i think. he killed himself. king of the jews by leslie epstein is another great book. tadeusz borowski's this way to the gas ladies and gentlemen. also a suicide. a dream book for our time by tadeusz konwicki. and a bunch of others. and oh, schindler's list/ schindler's ark by thomas kennealy.

i can't remember the title of this one book on the khmer rouge. i read it many years ago but the pictures-- nightmares anyone?

now i'm depressed.

I have Iris Chang's Rape of Nanking. Would you highly recommend it? It's included in my to-read list. And yeah, I learned from goodreads that she committed suicide. :(

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I would be reading it not before I go to sleep. Haha! And yeah, there will always be individuals who would deny the claims of others. Let us, the readers, be the judge na lang.
