What work of fiction would you love to enter?

Hi guys! After reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, I couldn't help but think about the idea of being able to enter a book and finding a whole new world inside them. So here's my question: If you could enter any literary work which would it be?

I'd probably go for Harry Potter. It would be cool to be able to walk inside Hogwarts, Hogsmead, The Burrows etc. Getting to see or meet Harry and the gang or maybe trying out some treacle tarts, butterbeer, chocolate frogs, and every flavor beans :D

ehlanadanae, I haven't had the chance to read Belgarath yet, but anything set in a world of magic would really be cool to enter. :D

Wanda, I also considered Middle Earth as I was thinking of my answer but I don't think I'd survive there because of lack of amenities..like plumbing and electricity. :D

laila, Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory would be a great book to enter as well. All those chocolates...nomnomnom...:D

yeah it is..and to be in the company of the greatest sorcerer ever and the first disciple of Aldur is way too cool. there are other interesting characters also like Silk who just happens to be the greatest spy.

Hi Harriet! I picked Harry Potter's world to enter as well and I would definitely make a beeline for Hogwarts! The great hall, common rooms...:D

This thread has reminded me of my childhood imaginings. When I was in grade school, I often imagined the road home as the Yellow Brick Road from the Wizard of Oz, the big mirror on the door of our old 'aparador' was the way to Wonderland, our cat then was really the Cheshire cat...then I entered high school and I imagined I was Nancy Drew, for a short while at least until I was introduced to the horrors of Stephen King's world (this is no place to be!), the thrills of Robin Cook's fictions, the complexity of Ayn Rand's philosophy, the adrenaline-charged works of Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum... Luckily, I was saved by Harry Potter when I was first introduced to his world in my senior year in high school, it was like I remembered to be a kid again and to hell with putting up a 'serious' and 'mature' facade. =)
