When I was in grade school, I often imagined the road home as the Yellow Brick Road from the Wizard of Oz, the big mirror on the door of our old 'aparador' was the way to Wonderland, our cat then was really the Cheshire cat...then I entered high school and I imagined I was Nancy Drew, for a short while at least until I was introduced to the horrors of Stephen King's world (this is no place to be!), the thrills of Robin Cook's fictions, the complexity of Ayn Rand's philosophy, the adrenaline-charged works of Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum... Luckily, I was saved by Harry Potter when I was first introduced to his world in my senior year in high school, it was like I remembered to be a kid again and to hell with putting up a 'serious' and 'mature' facade. =)

When I was a kid, my reads were quite limited. I mostly had a variety of fairytales and fables books/compilations, Sweet Valleys, and Archie Comics. So my imaginings were mostly wanting to be one of the Power Rangers, or X-Men, or the Planeteers. :D It wasn't up until I read Harry Potter in high school as well that I began to truly love reading. :)

Wanda wrote:oh yes, harry potter is really incomparable! What else? hmmmm, what about The Time Machine by HG Wells? I would love to see what the past was really like, see real dinosaurs, and also the future!!! :-D

Ooo, dinosaurs! Like Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park.

Seeing the future in a time machine would be cool as well! :D

I wonder how is it like to jump from one planet to another. And even have your own.
"The Little Prince" is my answer.

Oh, and I like to own a Chocolate Factory like what Charlie would run in his future from the generous Willy Wonka. Yum! :D

I`d like to be in the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians or Heroes of Olympus. Would be a great pleasure if I am a demigod.

Hi Kath! I love The Little Prince too and I agree, It would be lovely to see his rose and the three volcanoes and the baobabs and all the other planets!

Laila also picked Willy Wonka's chocolate factory and I agree with you guys, all the chocolates at your disposal. :D

It would be nice to see camp half-blood. And see centaurs and a pegasus too! This reminds me, I haven't had the chance to read the Heroes of Olympus series. :D
