Let me tell you a short and sad tale:
There was once this young boy barely into his teens. He was in many respects just an ordinary boy, but his voracious appetite set him apart from others. One day this boy was reading a newspaper when he saw an article about that years' Palanca Award winners. Along with the article was an excerpt from one of the finalists. It was a short story set into the future. It revolved around a young girl who was preparing for a certain procedure. She was picking backgroud music, color templates for the room, food and snacks in general. Slowly, as the boy read on, he discovered that the girl was getting ready to lose her virginity, which in the story is like an accepted medical procedure of sorts, with professionals doing the act with the naivetes.
Now, that boy was captivated with this story. But alas it ended too soon.
His questions: Where can one find copies of the stories which became finalists and winners of the Palanca Awards since its inception?
